A sweet book about a little girl, Camille, who is bored one Sunday afternoon. Her parents are occupied, so she decides to go outside. She plays in the rain, imagining the various creatures she comes across are speaking to her, urging her not to miss the show- a butterfly emerging from its chrysalis. Excited by what she's seen while playing outdoors, she goes home to get her parents to go for a walk, to show them there's always a show to see. I enjoyed the message of the story, to pay attention to what's going on around you, and I liked the bright, colorful illustrations. This would make a good read before an outdoor excursion!
Even if it's raining, there is always something to do. Usually, the rain brings out the excitement in nature and that's what "Look, It's Raining" does for the reader. I love adventure stories and this picture book does an amazing job of taking the reader on an adventure. I think young readers will adore this book as much as I did. It has a little suspense and a lot of surprise!
What a great story, I totally agree with it! At first, the illustrations looked a little strange to me but fast, I got accustomed to them and went straight into the story. Nature is a big role player in this story and I loved how the different animals we can see eveyrday are integrated so that it gives ideas to readers. A great story to remember how nature and outdoors are the best for great times in family!
