A HUGE shoutout to the publishers for granting my wish on reading this book. My 7 and 3 year old LOVED this book. It held both of their attentions and we each learned something new. We loved the fun facts about all the diggers and dozers and I loved the characters and speech bubbles to help make sense of some of the facts. The pages were colorful and visually appealing. We also loved the quiz at the end of the book. This is certainly a book I intend to purchase and read again and again with my two boys.
Clever Cogz books are so cute.
There were no words in this copy (speech bubbles were blank) but I definitely love the colors and illustrations.
Thank you to Net Galley for my free scoot in exchange for an honest review.
Adorable book about Diggers and Dozers! Fans of construction vehicles will really enjoy this title. This would be a great title for preschool or early elementary classrooms as part of the construction or transportation unit! Thanks to NetGalley for the preview! #TheBookOfDiggersAndDozers #NetGalley
We enjoyed the vibrant illustrations and the wide range of construction vehicles depicted in this book however the copy I was provided had missing text in the speech bubbles so unfortunately I cannot provide a complete review on this book.
This looks like the perfect book for a child who is interested in trucks. The illustrations are appealing and detailed. However, in the copy that I downloaded there was no text except for in the question section at the back of the book. I do think that this is a good book but cannot endorse it since I cannot read it.
Cute book with awesome illustrations and plenty of info about trucks/tractors. My 2 year old enjoyed this one! I liked that it was entertaining in addition to educational.
The perfect read for any little person that has a digger fascination. Cannot wait to buy hard copies of this perfectly illustrated and informational book. Sure to keep little minds excited to turn the page.
After reading this book at least 20 times to my grandson, we still find it both fresh and entertaining. Too often that is not the case. Neil Clark, we love diggers and dozers. What is next?
Every now and then I let one of my kids chose a book from those presented to me and this is the one my five-year-old son chose!
This book particular is a good build-on to other diggers books we already have. The speech bubbles are good as it allows children to begin making connections with the way that speech can be conveyed in stories (versus paragraphs of writing). It also helps to break up the page and information into small bites.
I want to particularly mention the hydraulics page. I admit that I know nothing about this topic and so I too found reading through that page really interesting. The diagram and the analogy used to help understand how hydraulics work was clear and a bit clever. With STEM a current curriculum focus in many places this particular page makes for a good basic introduction to engineering, physics, and inventions.
This was a really fun book for small children to learn about heavy machinery. I liked the colorful pictures, the animals/robots that helped you learn about the machines, and all the facts that were squeezed onto each page. The book is appealing to the eyes and also interesting for science-minded children. My 7 year-old daughter loved it...because she loves facts about machines and anything scientific. I would highly recommend this book.
I just reviewed The Book of Diggers and Dozers by Neil Clark. #TheBookOfDiggersAndDozers #NetGalley
Intended for kids, the author explained as simple as possible how these big machines works. This book is fascinating to read, even for an adult without much information about how tractors and the likes works.
