Thankyou to NetGalley, Pan McMillan Australia and the author, Matthew Reilly, for the opportunity to read a digital copy of Three Secret Cities in exchange for an honest and unbiased opinion.
I thought this book provided a great read. The storyline was well thought out and written with intriguing characters. Was action packed. It is as good as his previous novels.
Worth a read
Matthew Reilly is an author that never fails to deliver with his action packed story lines Yes it is like reading an action movie as you jump from adventure to adventure with the peril ratcheting up as the story progresses
This is another great book in the Jack West Jr. I have loved all of these though the last (The Four Legendary Kingdoms) was a little to out there for me but I am glad to say that he is back to his formula that I absolutely love. After saying that you do need to read the previous book as this one picks up where that one ends In fact do yourself a favour and read all his books
Our favourite hero Jack West Jr is back and he is about to take us on another adventure but not everyone will survive this one. Jack & Hades the Lord of the underworld were able to escape from the Great Games but they know that someone will come for them as two kings were killed. Minotus the Minotaur King is now in charge of the Underworld but his men are about to set a change that will destroy the world as we know it, unless Jack is able to find all the answers. But Jack & his friends are about to be hunted and the assassins will never stop coming until they have what they want. Will Jack with the help of his family & friends be able to find the weapons that they need to stop the end of the world. Their new adventure will take them across the globe to find the Three Secret Cities but will they make it on time?
The slave king Yago is coming for Hades and he will stop at nothing to bring his brother dearest back with him. But will they be able to get the first weapon the helmet of Hades that they need before the slave king gets there?
Unfortunately, they have to watch as Hades is taken and they know that they have no idea how to find him again and that they will need the Keeper of Royal Records Iolanthe's help and Jack's wife Zoe isn't too happy about that. They have no choice but to split up as they need to find the last weapon the mace of Poseidon but no one is really sure where it is only that it is near the City of Atlas. They know the Knights of Golden Eight and Orlando the King of the Land are after them as well. Will they be able to find the last piece of the puzzle to find the Thule, Ra and Atlas? But nothing is going to according to plan and they will get help in the form of Captain Aloysuis Knight who will help them along the way. They need to find Lily before it is too late as they don't know what is planned for Lily but it can't be good? Will they be able to finish the quest before it is too late to save the world? But what will the cost be to them all? Another great read. Who doesn't love Jack West he never backs down and he will continue to fight but I think this time he has lost a big part of himself. Who knows what will happen next?
