Description
**Please be aware that this book has HIGH HEAT and a love triangle.**
Laura Delaney loves her small mountain hometown of North Powell with its quaint charm, stately Victorian homes and surrounding hiking trails. Unfortunately, when it comes to attracting travel dollars, it can no longer compete with the flashy hot springs and ski slopes of nearby competitors.
That’s why she hires a hotshot marketing team to figure out how to inject the old magic back into North Powell’s sagging tourist trade. What she doesn’t expect is for the team to include David Harper. Smart, funny, handsome, and amazing in bed, he’s the perfect man. All she needs to do now is keep their relationship under wraps until the project is over.
But that’s easier said than done when she’s assigned to work with Spence Markham, the company’s offbeat “idea man” and David’s professional nemesis. When Spence suggests hosting a Dickens Festival to revitalize the town’s once-booming holiday season, Laura is thrilled. She’s even more thrilled when Spence falls in love with Powell House, the dilapidated Victorian that Laura hopes to renovate and turn into a town museum. But is Spence falling in love with her as well?
As the Festival nears, Laura’s feelings for both men intensify. Her relationship with David has only gotten better—and hotter—and yet she finds herself counting down the days until she can see Spence again.
Soon, what started as a simple assignment becomes a tale of two possible futures. But which one will Laura choose?

This book was fantastic!! The quintessential holiday rom-com, I was swooning at both of the male characters and caught in Laura's dilemma of who to choose. Her heat with both was sizzling, with the perfect amount of romance and setting to make you wish that were you. Loved it.
This was a very entertaining story! From page one, I was drawn in with the humor. I had to read it quickly to find out who Laura would end up with and why. Definitely worth the read!
I loved it! The characters were great and I really enjoyed the setting, the vivid descriptions really allowed me to visualize and experience the small town charm. I really enjoyed Why I Held Your Hand, especially how to title fit into the book.
A cute and cozy Christmas read that reminds us that love isn't always black and white. I enjoyed Why I Held Your Hand and honestly, couldn't put it down. It was just the comforting read I needed.
Thank you to NetGalley for providing me this ARC!
English Review:
5 / 5 stars
Laura is a worried citizen of North Powell, which is completely lacking of turism and financial goods; because of this, Laura decides to hire a marketing team to promote the city as much as they can before is to late. But, at the first meeting, Laura ends up meeting David, who she starts dating in secret. Meanwhile, she is also spending a lot of time with Spencer, one of the guys in charge of promoting the town at its best.
Without exaggerating, Why I Held Your Hand is probably one of the best romance novels ever written. It has everything a good romance novel has, and it handles it so well that I couldn´t help but finish it in less than three days. Everything about this book is amazing.
Laura, as a protagonist, was so convincing and I never got tired of her, despite it being written in third person. Laura´s confusion and happiness was so well written that even I couldn´t "choose a side" between David and Spencer; who, speaking of them, were both great love interests and made the love-triangule not as cringy as I usually find them.
Overall, Why I Held Your Hand is a great romance novel, and I personally feel is the perfect fit for the next famous rom-com! (P. S.: I also loved all the song references, I can´t stop listening to The Band Played On).
Reseña en Español:
5 / 5 estrellas
(Posdata: También me encantaron las referencias a canciones, no puedo dejar de escuchar The Band Played On).
