Description
Four teenagers...one prophecy...magical powers and a thrilling alien space adventure.
The Winds of Power delivers a page turning thriller that was a semi-finalist in the 2017 Young Adult Fantasy Kindle book awards. Filled with coming of age adventure and drama we follow Aiden, Sarah-Jane, Cosmo and Amber as they travel through space towards the last remaining blue-violet star to test and develop their powers and friendships in an alien world filled with all manner of dangers and strange beings.
The death of a blue-violet star fifteen years ago saw solar winds carry charged particles to the ends of the galaxy, reaching the outer planet of Earth, and interacting with the genes of four newborns, and heightening the powers within them. It is later prophesized that a sleeper from an outer planet will help overthrow a great evil that threatens to destroy the seven planets that form the Galactic Alliance. The alliance, now under the shadow of a great evil, takes the teenagers out into space to determine who the sleeper is.
If you love teen fantasy novels filled with magical powers and coming of age adventure like J.K Rowling’s Harry Potter series, then you will really enjoy The Winds of Power!

"Google Books – 5 stars
I purchased this book because I love a good sci-fi read and this book is exactly that! Following teenagers across the galaxy on their deep space adventures, I felt like I was a part of the crew. Robert sets the scene and follows through with excitement and suspense. If you want a good read from start to finish, go no further than The Winds of Power. Looking forward to his next instalment!

Pages For Thoughts – 4 stars
Overall, I enjoyed reading this YA science fiction e-book and recommend it. I loved the imagery! I could picture what every alien looked like, and they had very funny names. I had a clear image in my head of all the characters and their surroundings throughout the story. Something I enjoyed was that the four teens did not get too carried away with their powers, especially Aiden. The love and concern Aiden had for his brother was a huge element to the book. I loved reading Aiden’s emotions. They were so strong that readers can physically feel them, too. To read my full review, visit http://pagesforthoughts.blogspot.com

Perfect read for Harry Potter fans – a thoroughly enjoyable read.
The story follows four teenagers who travel into space to develop their powers, after the death of a blue-violet star around the time of their birth which interacts with their genes, heightening the powers within them.
The book is filled with well-developed characters who are facing personal challenges and a story-line to match.
Think Harry Potter and Star Wars – the perfect mix for a Young Adult fantasy read – but definitely not just a book for YA.
Thank you to NetGalley for gifting me this in exchange for an honest, unbiased review.
