A fun and easy book to read, both for children and for adults trying to learn Spanish. A bear has lost his hat, so he asks the forest animals one by one if they have seen his hat. Cute story, with a twist at the end. Highly recommend this book.

This is a funny, silly, charming, and endearing picture book about a bear who has lost his hat. He misses his hat and is walking around asking other animals if they have seen it. There is a twist at the end, where the bear seemingly eats the bunny who stole his hat. This an easy Spanish book to read, and would be a good addition to a classroom library with young Spanish readers or English speaking readers learning Spanish.

I've read this book before in English and I'm glad to find it in Spanish, at a reading level that even I could understand, years removed from my last Spanish class. The illustrations are gorgeous as always and the unintended humor I enjoy out of this book is as great as the first time when I read it in English. This makes for an excellent gift for Spanish-speaking children or friends just learning Spanish.

Yo Quiero Mi Sombrero, the beautifully translated Spanish edition of the award-winning I Want My Hat Back by Canadian writer/illustrator Jon Klassen, follows a distraught bear seeking his beloved hat. Politely questioning the forest animals, the bear finally figures out where his hat has gone. The surprise ending will have parents and grandparents laughing out loud. I’m not sure how many kids will get the joke, but they’ll love this picture book regardless.
In the interest of full disclosure, I received this book from NetGalley, Publisher Spotlight and NubeOcho in exchange for an honest review.
