This book’s take on advent is really unique. Each day focuses on a character trait in regards to a person, place or thing that relates to the coming of Jesus. The pictures and illustrations are simple and basic and full of color. Though the illustrations are not my style as I feel like it limits itself to a littler age group—the content is spot on for both my 4 year olds and my 10 year old. (And myself!)
There are verses to think about, a prayer, and an activity to do together as a family. I’ve not seen an advent book with such good content for kids as this one. I highly recommend and would get a print version for our family.
I received an electronic review copy for the purposes of reviewing and giving ym honest opinion. #netgalley #reviews
This book is gorgeous! This would be perfect for families and for Christian classrooms! I’d say ages 3-10 could benefit. I love that there is a daily focus. The stories about the people who are so crucial to the Christmas story are so well done. I love that they’re not too long and written for a child to understand. The family activities & questions are perfect! They’re especially great for busy teachers who want to bring daily Christmas activities and discussions to their classroom. I already visualized copying, printing and displaying the page with the character/place for each day of Advent. I’d love to see this book in print as the illustrations are so nice!
