Description
Tired of feeling guilty after “losing it” and yelling at your kid? Then you need to keep reading…
Every parent wants the best for his kid but sometimes it is really hard to break the cycle of screaming.
There isn’t one magic tip to stop yelling. Addressing symptoms only, instead of the underlying causes, is a road to nowhere.
Inside “Ex-Yeller Formula” you’ll discover:
* Why yelling is such a natural reaction?
* Consequences of constant yelling
* 4 main reasons for kid’s “Bad Behavior”
* How to spot behavior patterns and change them
* Why permissive and authoritarian parenting styles are two sides of the same coin
* How to discipline without yelling
* How to handle yourself when you start “losing it”
* What to do after “the storm”
* Kid-centric and Parent-centric approaches
This is not a “one size fits all manual”. My goal is to help you better understand the root of the problem and offer a wide array of tools. It’s up to you to choose what to put into practice!
Advance Praise
"I cannot praise this book enough. I’ll admit, I was somewhat sceptical to start reading yet another parenting book that promises to help us as parents connect better with our children and master our composure during those challenging times when we are feeling frustrated with their behaviour. However, this book really does deliver all this and more.
The author has such an in-depth insight into what our children are feeling when they seem to be acting out and what parents can do to diffuse situations instead of resorting to yelling in an attempt to communicate.
The techniques discussed in this book are relatable, realistic and encouraging. Genuinely one of the best parenting books I’ve ever read.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily."

Featured Reviews
This book was very easy to read and understand. The author wrote in a way that kept my interest but also didn’t overwhelm me and make me feel hopeless. It thankfully didn’t have a lot of useless filler material to wade through. I like a lot of the ideas and information presented in the book. I also liked that each chapter had some homework for the reader. Definitely worth a read.
I appreciate that this was not a one-size fits all or a condemnation of all the things you are doing wrong. Rather, it is a helpful tool meant to empower and encourage you as your rear your most precious little people. Content was easy to follow while remaining engaged. A great resource for all parents, especially those prone to yelling for getting kid’s attention or getting points across. I received a complimentary copy from the publisher via NetGalley and all opinions expressed are my own, freely given.
I read this book in one go and thought it was well researched and thought out. I skipped a bit of the first bit explaining that the author isn't trying to raise your child and giving the disclaimer that this book is not exhaustive. It needs to be in the book but I didn't need to read it. The ideas and language were set at an easy reading level and I was able to absorb the information without it sounding too preachy.
I found this was a great circuit breaker and gave me some tips and things to think about going forward. Well done!
"Parenting is a marathon, not a sprint", well said. It is not easy to raise good children, but it is our responsibility to do everything in our power to succeed.
Thanks to Netgalley, the publisher and the author for these ideas.
I appreciated the advice in this book. I have tried to use some of the advice and it has been helping. Thanks to the author!
