Advance Praise
“Unmasked, quite literally, challenges the way we see ourselves. It is an honest look in an unfogged mirror. Taking us through a process of deep reflection, the self we see in the mirror by the end of this uplifting and empowering book is nothing short of a self-worth knowing and a self-worth loving, fiercely.”
—Puja Kanth Alfred, Counseling Psychologist EFT Master Trainer (EFT International), India
“There are breakthroughs within these pages. Unmasked gives you years’ worth of therapy in a concise, easy-to-read manual that will shine a spotlight on an easily overlooked truth: you deserve to be your own priority. Through deep understanding, shadow work, and the application of a transformational tool, EFT, Catherine Duca shows you the way to an otherwise elusive 'better self' and 'better life.' If you are too busy, too preoccupied, or too financially burdened to commit to long form talk therapy, this is the book to read.”
—Michael Markey, Educator
“Unmasked is not just a self-help book or a manual to a happier, fulfilling life. It is a journey; learn the many faces we hide behind and the road that led us to feel like we had to. Catherine Duca demonstrates techniques to shed psychological masks and facades and become your true you. It’s a Hero’s journey and if you feel like you’re hiding, read it. When you get to the last sentence, you’ll feel a tremendous sense of accomplishment. I did.”

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an e-copy of this book.
I didn't know what to expect from the book, but honestly feel that it has changed my perspective on my life and to some degree freed me from old and unhelpful ways of thinking. I say, to some degree, because some of the messages in the book were a bit overwhelming so I felt I needed to take a break and go back at some point.
At first I started to skim the book - like a lot of 'self-help' books it seemed to take an awful long time to get anywhere. But about a third of the way through I had a 'wait ... what?' moment and realised that the message was important and relevant. So I went back to the start and read more carefully. I still think it took an awful long time to get anywhere, but it did all come together well.
I was a bit confused by whether EFT was something that you need a therapist to work through, or whether you can work through it yourself. There are some instructions in the book, but they didn't really make sense to me until I had done some further research.
So, overall a good read with life-changing potential!
