Description

From bestselling author Kathryn Andrews, comes a new enemies to lovers contemporary romance that will leave listeners who love food and wine hungry for more.

Shelby Leigh

I love food. I love everything about it.

My dream has always been to land a job with the Food Network channel, and I’ve spent years as a food critic, blogger, and chef, tasting my way across the South to develop recipes that are a twist on the classics and uniquely my own. When a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity comes calling, I’m shocked to discover I’ve been paired with him, the worst blind date ever—bless his heart, and I’m determined not to let anyone get in my way. So, I buckle my designer heels, tighten my apron, and vow to myself there’s nothing in his playbook that’s going to stop me from tasting success.

Zach Wolff

I love wine. It is my life.

What I hate are critics. I hate everything about their dream-killing souls and elitist attitudes. So, when she shows up in the tasting room of my winery in northern Georgia, the devil in disguise wearing a pair of long legs and beautiful hazel eyes, I know just the plan to make and how to use her to get what I want. What she doesn’t know won’t hurt her, because in the end, I will win. I always do.

Two weeks.

His wine. Her recipes. A feature article in a special issue of a world-renowned magazine.

Pairing wine with food is one thing, but pairing two hearts is another.

From bestselling author Kathryn Andrews, comes a new enemies to lovers contemporary romance that will leave listeners who love food and wine hungry for more.

This enemies to lovers audiobook was sweeter than orange blossom honey. I enjoyed listening to the southern voices of Shelby and Zack. Shelby's dream to work for food network and an assignment with her least favorite vineyard owner Zack is the next step. Zack hates critics and everything they stand for after a bad review hurt his family's winery. Can these two make it work or will it turn out to be sour grapes? Pick up a copy of The Sweetness of Life by Kathryn Andrews to find out.

This was a lovely, sweet story that just makes you happy. Readers that enjoy wine can pair a glass nicely with this read! Taking place at a vineyard, you can't help but want a glass! This was a story that had me laughing as the characters interacted with each other, but also had me falling in love. I really liked the way this enemies-to-lovers story played out. This is a perfect read for anyone that is looking for a charming romance!

I was provided a gifted copy of this book for free. I am leaving my review voluntarily.

Sweet Southern Charm! I really enjoyed this romance/contemporary story and OMG the recipes all sound yummy! The book follows Shelby Leigh, a food critic, blogger and chef who dreams of a job with The Food Network, and Zach Wolff, a vineyard owner and wine maker that hates food critics and is very wary of hosting Shelby and working with her for a magazine article but he must stumble through the next two weeks to help fix his winery's reputation that was scarred by another food critic. No spoilers but I definitely recommend it to everyone who loves a sweet Southern read.

Yes - listen to it! It's -20 without the wind chill in Minnesota in February, thinking about the South, vineyards and Southern food is an escape worth the price of an audio book!!! (P.S. will probably be just as good in summer on the beach).

The story was interesting to me as someone who loves to cook and travel so it kept my interest with the descriptions of foodie things. I liked the characters & know that the next in the series will probably be as good! The plot was intriguing as I wondered what had happened in the past that was having such an impact on the main characters.

2 person audio narrations are always a bit more enjoyable and this audio book was no exception.

Thanks to Netgalley and Orangesky Audio for an ARC to help me prepare this honest review.

Oh another enemies to lovers book? Pick me pick me🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️oh and about food and wine? 🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️

All Shelby wants is her own show on Food Network, and has spent years being a food critic, blogger and chef. All Zach wants is for critics to not exist after a bad review. But when a once in a lifetime opportunity presents itself, Shelby can’t say no, even if it means dealing Zach after they had a terrible blind date. Two weeks. His wine, her recipes. One special issue of a national magazine. Will they survive the two weeks?

I was really excited to start listening to this and I wasn’t disappointed. It really reminded me to not judge a book by its cover and what you first think of someone might not be what you think in the end. I also enjoyed that Shelby and Zach disliked each other but also were super attracted to each other and confused themselves! Plus all the food throughout and recipes at the end of each chapter🤤 give me all the southern food please🙋🏼‍♀️

What do you get when you cross a food blogger/chef and a winemaker? A wonderfully delicious change for romance. Shelby loves food and wants to become the next new face on the Food Network. Zach is a winemaker in Georgia. Sparks will fly when they meet. He already doesn't like her because she is a food critic and he has a bad history with those. But his company can really use a great review. What happens next is hopefully a Hallmark movie in the making. You know they will fall in love because in this case opposites attract but will they survive each of their egos? I really hope there is more to their story in the future.

I listened to the audiobook version of this cute novel. I really enjoyed the story line! The characters were funny and Shelby is so funny. Her personality is so strong and she does not take Zach's attitude!

The rollercoaster of their relationship was fun and at one point I even found myself hoping Shelby ended up with someone else but I quick came back to team Zach. I look forward to reading the rest of the books in this series!

The cover honestly did not draw me in as the funny romance that this book is! I was expecting something more serious going into it and I enjoyed it more than I anticipated!

The narration was not 100% for me. I LOVE the voice of Shelby, I swear you could hear a hair flip in her voice! But the voice of Zach was not my favorite. He dragged things out too much, like he was trying too hard to sound Southern and manly. I got used to it by halfway in and was able to enjoy both parts.

I would recommend this book to romance lovers. There was a bit of steam in the love scenes!

I received an advance copy of the audiobook in exchange of my honest review. Thank you to NetGalley and Kathryn Andrews for the opportunity to read this lovely book.
