Description

When chivalry and folly collide, can true love be far behind?

The last thing Lady Cordelia Rutledge expected to find during her family visit to Guernsey Island was a husband. But when an innocent tour of the island finds her stranded, unchaperoned, with her charming guide, an arranged marriage seems imminent as the only way to satisfy her family and salvage her reputation. So much for her tour of the continent…

If archaeologist Marshall Compton, Marquess of Daventry, had known his chivalrous offer to act as the lovely Cordelia’s guide would land him a fiancée, he probably wouldn’t have made it in the first place. The only thing he knows for certain, however, is that his plans for an Indian expedition are most assuredly lost.

Advance Praise

" Sweet and clean Romance novel. Easy to read and relate to. Thoroughly enjoyed. Highly recommend.”

“ Being relatively new to the historical romance genre I wasn't quite sure what to expect. I enjoyed the easy to keep track story line and how the character backgrounds and relationships developed. I am excited to see what the rest of the books in this series hold and am thoroughly impressed with my first historical romance read. I'd also like to say though some of the vocabulary used is higher level it is a suitable book for younger ages as it does not contain any graphic depictions of romance. Loved the book. Looking forward to reading more by IreAnne and also seeking recommendations on others in this category.”"

This story is a bit different, maybe odd is a better word. Don't get me wrong overall it's a pretty good book. There is mystery, danger, attempted kidnapping, and of course romance. I wish it was longer so more questions could be answered though.

This historical romance kicked off right in the middle of the action and didn't let up, The main characters were a likable duo the reader could root for and it was a fast read.

Twin sisters with totally different emotional temp, which sets them apart. A man who knew what he wanted but refused to bow to being told what he must do. With a little Celtic intrigue, kidnapping, and budding love, this book has turned out to be a gem.
