This is a lovely book and I found it had a very calming influence as I read it. Sarah Gregg’s passion for her subject is apparent and I feel this is a book you could return to many times to reinforce her approach to life. I found the daily delights and happy tips uplifting and a gentle reminder that we all need to ease off the pedal sometimes and take stock of how we live our lives. This book would make a lovely gift for those in need of a reminder of what is important in life. Highly recommended as an inspirational read.
I’m not one to run to self help books but this one changed my mind. Love the principles of learning from your past, enjoying your present and believing of what is to come. Choosing happy isn’t something I always struggle with but I love the how the steps are outlined in a way that it’s easy to remember and we can choose happy.

Choose Happy: Easy Strategies to Find Your Bliss by Sarah Gregg feels like it should be in Hallmark Store next to the book with all the quotes from Mr. Rogers. This will make a great gift.
I was surprised with the depth of this book! There are exercises, tips, and thought points through the book. The book is broken in four sections: happy-ology, learn from your past, believe in your future, and enjoy your present. This book is meant to give you enough information to get you started on your journey without feeling overwhelmed.
I found the thought work to be very interesting. This book has inspired a lot of journal prompts! Habits are discussed throughout the book and I thought it was very powerful.
I most connected with the chapter on comfort. The author describes it as: We bob up and down above the surface of our potential, it might feel like we're moving but we're not really going anywhere. Wow! This created such a strong visual for me!
The chapter on purpose explained the concept of finding your purpose in a way that felt less daunting. I've always found identifying my purpose to be scary and hard to narrow down. I look forward to implementing the tips here to find mine.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book. I will definitely be coming back to it as I work through different aspects of my life.
I'm so grateful to Sarah Gregg, Quarto Publishing Group – Rock Point, and NetGalley for providing me with a free copy of this ARC ebook in exchange for my honest review.
I love the structure of this book, the Happy Tips, the Practical Exercises, and the Daily Delights. They make the digestion of the book easy and fun. And all that is mixed in with scientific research. I would recommend this book for anyone who needs daily reminders of how to find - no, choose - happiness in their life.
(I was not able to review on Amazon yet, as it says it's not eligible at this time for reviews).
This book is beautifully designed and contains lots of insightful information and exercises for supporting wellbeing.
At first, the title of this book put me off. But it looked lovely and I thought maybe I could read something to change my mind. And It really did. It went past more than just "be happy by choice" to looking at how our lives are and how we can adapt and change maladaptive behavior. The author understands trauma and helps by providing some exercises to help deal with the past, present, and future. But what really won me over? "It's ok not to be OK."
I would absolutely recommend this book.
