Description
During our lifetime, we have some quite difficult choices that challenge our decision-making process. Sometimes we may regret the decision or not even know if we made the right one. And occasionally we put off the decision until we absolutely have to make it or, as it happens, we wait for our circumstances to make the decision for us.
Using his years of professional and personal experience, and education in engineering and science, Gerard Ibarra developed an easy-to-use framework that is measurable, repeatable, and reliable. He uses the framework “to make more efficient and effective decisions” for his clients and himself. Now, he wants to share this simple five-step process with you so that, you too, can make the best decisions for yourself.

"Gerard Ibarra’s decision-making process works extraordinarily well. I used his methodology to help me with the sale of my company, Jaguar Logistics. If you need to make a tough decision and have many variables to consider, I recommend Gerard’s book. It gives you a pathway for making the right decision.
— Eddie Watson, former owner of Jaguar Logistics
This readily applicable framework is the tool needed to lift you and your team to a higher level of performance, enabling good decision making to produce better results. As a startup investor and business development advisor, I recognize Dr. Ibarra has yet again delivered an incredible tool for personal, corporate, or public service use.
— Michael Dwinnell, Director | Business Development | CENAQ
I’ve used Gerard Ibarra’s framework. It proved unbelievably valuable to take many different opin-ions across a varied sample set and reduce it to a quantified value that pointed to a clear decision. Succinctly, his framework is a well-defined, effective, and straightforward process to help business-es and individuals make better decisions.
— Chris George, Director of Partner Business Development | Transportation Impact

This book utilises systems thinking toward making decisions. I think it's an appropriate way of making decisions, though removes the element of intuition. Overall, consider your object, the parts, process, maintenance, costs, operational costs, disposal and emotions, while considering influencers and philosophy. I had wanted more about decision making generally - eg. family, relationship, business decisions - rather than product based decisions, but the systems approach is useful and adaptable.
