50 Maps of the World Activity Book
by Ben Handicott, Kalya Ryan
I read a digital arc of this book from NetGalley with my almost 8 year old.
This is a perfect activity book for a road trip to keep kids who can read well busy. My son was fascinated by all of the interesting information and loved puzzling out the different tasks. We especially enjoyed the true and false quiz.
This is a lovely activity book that has a modern, gorgeous layout. I absolutely loved the educational elements that are interwoven between activities and appealing illustrations. One of my favorite pages was the "create your own flag" page. This would be a great purchase for a young reader/student.
This is a fun activity book, a nice interactive addition to "50 Maps of the World: Explore the globe with 50 fact-filled maps!" The activities are mostly easy enough even for younger children with few relatively challenging ones. The graphics are wonderful as always. This would make a great book to reinforce information learned. Readers who never read the "50 Maps of the World: Explore the globe with 50 fact-filled maps!" could still fully utilize this activity book fully. Highly recommend.
A fun activity book companion to 50 Maps of the World. Beautiful illustrations accompany a variety of activities. This would be perfect for elementary school aged children.
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for providing this ARC.
A fun and very interactive book for kids. I can see using this to reinforce learned world cultures and map skills.
I confess that I love puzzle books for kids. They do not require screens yet can keep children entertained. They are especially useful for times when kids are confined in some type of transportation.
This title has a variety of activities that require nothing more than colored pencils, a little imagination and some thinking. What could be better?
A few examples of the puzzles included here are a spot the difference, jumbled up bird names, odd one out, and find the hidden name. There is also room for coloring. Consider this one for a child you know.
Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this title.
This is such a fun and pretty book. Every page has either an activity or something to learn. I love that every activity is different and has different places featured. There’s mazes, drawing, matching, a math game, and my favorite: odd one out. That activity has pictures of famous places and buildings known to the country and you have to pick out the incorrect one. Any child that can read and likes activity books, will enjoy this one.
This is a fun activity book that would be fun to take on a road trip or to entertain the kids during church.
I thought there would be more activities to do with maps but this book includes a variety of topics like animals, flags and important people.
This is exactly the type of book I would want to share with my kids while on vacation. I like that this is a world activity book and asks a child to use their imagine to make a flag, plan a menu etc. The activities are not overly simplistic and offer an answer key for answers that they may struggle with. The book includes stickers, trivia, word search, culture and food. Great book for summer activities, travel or a learning activity. This book is released in June just in time for vacation. Thank you NetGalley for this advanced copy in exchange for an honest interview.
With nineteen full-color activities from drawing to solving puzzles, the 50 Maps of the World Activity Book doesn’t disappoint!
There are a variety of puzzle types sure to include a favorite or two for your child recipient. I think it’s funny that I am still hopeless at the jumbled bird names. Only Ume saved me from complete embarrassment (emu, of course). There are puzzles for the right-brainers like me involving math too.
50 Maps of the World Activity Book is such a fun book to drill home the lessons in the 50 Maps of the World book sold separately. But it is also fine to be used by itself. The paperback also comes with 50 stickers. 5 stars!
Thanks to Wide Eyed Editions and NetGalley for a copy in exchange for my honest review.
