I really wanted to like this book, but struggled to get into it. The two main characters are already dating when the story begins - possibly they had got together in a previous book, but there was no recap of this so I felt like I’d started in the middle of the story. My other big issue with the book is that whilst there is lots of practical details included, such as what everyone is eating and drinking, there is very little detail of what they are thinking or feeling. Because of this, I found it hard to relate to or care about the main characters and their relationship didn’t free credible.
This is a fun read! While hurt animals isn't fun the story of the different personalities was. Animal rescue is close to my heart so I enjoyed reading this book. I need a cabin like the one here..
Trinity and Paul head out to rescue animals after a fire. Concept is good, but I struggled to really like the characters. First I’ve read, which might be the issue. Seemed to be a continuation at times, and I never really felt like I got to know the characters that deeply. Interesting, but perhaps reading others first would help. Would recommend.
