Description
Sometimes immigrants must share their experience with the people who are fortunate enough to reside in their countries of birth. Not just to take off the load from their shoulders, but to make the others aware of the plight of hundreds of millions who leave their countries annually worldwide. I’m one of those immigrants. In this collection of twenty-one stories, I share my own experience and the experience of others like me through the lives of my composite protagonists.
A Note From the Publisher
Mark Budman immigrated to the United States from the Soviet Union.
Advance Praise
"In a word Mark Budman’s stories are inventive. They are also funny, satirical, poignant, crazy, and soulful. No matter how fantastical these stories get, no matter how many brilliant poetical conceits are packed in just a few pages, ironical understatements ground us. I like the one about the janitor in Lenin’s Tomb, who by a stroke of fate is promoted to head janitor. And all of these stories remember to be entertaining."

This is a rather interesting collection of short stories. The author clearly has a passion for sharing the human struggle, referencing his past in the Soviet Union, contrasted with Americanization and American challenges, reflecting the author's past and present.
Each story has it's own level of humor and satire, though admittedly there are references I do not completely understand.
However, for anyone looking for some easy going short stories, consider this read!
