Description

Dreams, goals, and aspirations can sometimes lead to unexpected, life-defining moments. In this gripping autobiography, author Russell Fralick tells of his driving ambition for success and purpose that led to a near-death experience in a mountain-climbing adventure gone awry. Written in a literate yet down-to-earth style, Over the Top explores the effects of a life-changing event and encourages readers to reflect on their own experiences. While presenting readers with a sense of adventure, heart-pounding excitement, and at times absolute terror, this engaging book can also motivate them to consider where they are in life’s journey.

Unusual account of rock climber's life as he came to understand his need for adventure and discovered religion along the way.
Personally not exactly my normal read but certainly worth reading.

Fascinating memoir that focuses on rock climbing. It is also a Christian testimonial, but you'll find 90% of the book gives details on what the author was thinking as he climbed cliffs, searched for more cliffs to climb, and daydreamed about becoming a famous mountaineer.

You don't need to be a rock climber to appreciate this book - it captures attention and imagination, and for those of us who don't climb cliffs, it is an exciting and educational read.

Exciting, well written coming of age tale for a young mountaineer who learned to climb more than mountains.
