This is an adorable and accessible book that shows children concrete ways to act out kindness. So often as adults we tell children to “be kind,” but that can be rather abstract to a small child. This book is wonderful because it shows children specific ways to be kind that they may not have thought of, like just sharing toys and not hitting. Our world needs so much more kindness, and this book is a wonderful start.
I will definitely be adding this book to my Social Skills library at school! It really does a nice job of showing children that there are many easy and simple ways they can add a little kindness into their day! I was also really impressed with the last couple of pages where children could work to find ways to be kind to the people in the pictures. It gives them a way to show their understanding and feel ready to go out there and be the "I" in kind! Adorable and very catchy, this will hold the attention of young readers and inspire them to be kind.
