Adorable art and text, it was so fun to see a picture book version of the infamous Thank You, Mama tiktoks! I am a sucker for picture books about food so this was a delight!
Thank You, Mama is a cute story about healthy eating. This book is just as lovely as Linda Meeker's social media videos of her adorable son Grey saying, "Thank you, Mama!" when presented with healthy foods. The colorful illustrations will inspire readers to try new foods and enjoy healthy mealtimes with family. A great introduction to building healthy habits with young readers.
Special thanks to Netgalley for the eARC in exchange for my honest review.
This is a sweet book based on toddler Grey and his mother’s meal time TikToks. The videos are cute and so is the book. I wish the book would have explored nutrition a bit more. It very much read like a vanity project. But if you’re a fan of their online presence, I think you will enjoy this.
I love watching Grey and his mama on TikTok and I loved reading about Grey and his search for his favourite food in this book!
Thanks to NetGalley and to Linda Meeker to provided me with an advanced copy of this book.
This book related about what you should as a parent do with your kids teaching them how to not hate vegetables or something else because of you just forced them to eat that such thing to let them a trauma.
It was amazing including for that parent and kids who wanted to know how to eat better with a short and childrens' story about eating some vegetables.

I have been following @greyandmama for a few months now and I knew I needed to read this book! It was such a sweet picture book about making decisions, manners, and being open to trying new food. It had some great vocabulary words and the illustrations were really sweet too.
Grey takes a bite out of a host of foods, trying to figure out which one he loves best. Then he realizes his favorite food depends on one big factor. Grey is a cute character and all-around good kid. This is an adorable book centered around food, family, and love. I’m grateful to have read this via NetGalley, courtesy of the publisher.
From the Tik Tok and Instagram star, comes a fun read for your child that loves food or if maybe you have a a picky eater on your hands.
Throughout the day, Grey tells his Mama what his favorite foods are- avocado toast and pancakes for breakfast, sandwiches for lunch, salads and noodles for dinner.
The beauty in the book is that is also opens the reader's eyes to foods they might not eat in their daily lives- crispy seaweed, ramen, and kimchi. It also celebrates eating food as something the family does together.
Adorable book that subtly showcases different family cultures and encourages healthy eating habits. It’s a bit repetitive going through each meal of the day, and it’s not the most eloquent book, but still enjoyable. The illustrations are beautiful, soft, and sweet.
This book is about grey discovering his favorite food or maybe realizing he doesn’t have to choose it all. I love the representation of quality time! That’s what grey loved most.
This was such a joyful book, with colourful illustrations. The book explores children's food preferences and letting your child decide what they like and dislike. It also teaches the sentiment of food and being grateful for the food we have.
ummmm absolutely adorable. I follow Grey on tiktok and couldn’t wait to read this!! It was simple, fun, and such a celebration of food :) Highly recommend!!
I don't have TikTok but I did see some videos of the lovely Grey eating delicious food on Instagram from time to time last summer and I thought he was always very sweet (not a pun!). This book is aesthetically pleasing and heartwarming. There's not much to go on and it's very simple, and while I don't have any myself, I think this little children's book is a perfect way to start discussing food with your kids. Don't read this on an empty stomach though!
As a fan of Grey on Tiktok I was so excited to see they made an adorable children's book based around him. He is an adorably sweet boy with excellent manners and this book was so clever. I loved the drawings and use of movement and color in the text. This would be a super fun book to read aloud and open up conversations with kids on their own favorite things.
There is many things to be thankful to your mother for. In this colorful book on Asian culture and food, Grey is ready to start the day with his mom. Food is the center of Grey's day with playing pretend with his dog and his family.
The illustrations are playful and I was hungry after reading all the fun things to do with food.
A special thank you to Thomas Nelson and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review.

This delightful book encourages little ones to explore new healthy foods and find the ones that they love to eat. It honours the bond between a child and his parent and models respect, manners and thankfulness. The book builds vocabulary and pre-reading skills for a child. This debut book's message is enriched with colourful, relatable illustrations and gives a shout out to food lovers and family as they gather together for wonderful, healthy meals around their kitchen table.
"Thank You, Mama" is a perfect book to give for a gift at a baby shower, birthdays, holiday giving, or to any one who might be apprehensive to try new foods. It's my pleasure to endorse such a positive and important message to youngsters at a time when correct etiquette needs a boost. I highly recommend this book and look forward to a series.

I wasn't sure what to expect with this picture book, but I was pleasantly surprised. This book features so many foods that a child may not regularly be exposed to. There are also adjectives describing the food that may be new to children. Overall, this is a fun story that will introduce children to new things.
❤️ Grey stole all of our hearts on TikTok with his happiness, polite manners, and gratitude for the healthy meals his mama would make him!

A cute story about Grey who tries to figure out what his favorite food is. He tries a lot of different things, since it is really hard to now what your favorite food is, there are just so many.
I really liked the illustrations and how the different food options where written in color.
Recommending to the kids who love food.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the arc in exchange for an honest review.
THIS BOOK IS SO CUTE! Def the book I needed to get me our of my burnout from reading new adult books and remind me why I love reading. So colorful and authentic in Vietnamese foods. it's so great to see our culture represented in a book in such an enjoyable way. RECOMMENDED FOR KIDS WHO LOVE FOOD and want to learn some cute manners! Cam on!!
This book is SO cute. I absolutely love the story, but the illustrations are top notch. I think this would be so cute for my young niece (or for a classroom!)
Really cute illustrations and makes an amazing children's book. Although the file for the kindle came out a little weird, but other than that I enjoyed it.

A sweet tale of gratitude and love, Thank You Mama is a wonderful way to introduce more food into a child's vocabulary, and practice the habit of saying thank you. I'm no parent but I've worked with and looked after kids for a while now, and gratitude isn't a topic I've come across in picture books often. However, it's a very important trait to have in kids: for them to learn to not only parrot 'thank you' but also feel the sincerity behind it. Plus, it has vivid descriptions for the food and such an adorable art style!
