The Mammoth Adventure

This was a really fun story to read with young kids. The kids found the story to be a fun ride. I can’t wait to read more in this series with the kids.

Princess Florizella is back at it again. New adventures await with some old friends. Within this book you will find two daring adventures, one about true friendship and another about embracing who you are and appreciating what you have. In our first tale sea serpent decides that living in the palace moat is not right for him so he goes off to join the circus. Will the circus be the right fit for our princess eating friend, or will they learn that true friendship and love a re more important? In our second tale a daring pirate is out to get everything that Princess Florizella has. Can Florizella teach Five-fathom Freida that wanting what others have doesn't always turn out how you think it will or will Freida become the new princess?

Philippa Gregory is just such a fun author and I love that she has created a princess that is timeless. One that stands on her own and doesn't accept the normal rules that one would think apply to a princess. The just like the other two books in this series Philippa once more uses fantastic morals that really can be applied in anyone's life. And the fact that they are approached with daring adventures attached to them just make them more interesting and easier for kids to dive into. I am excited to recommend this book to adventure readers in the new year.

This is a fun princess tale that is perfect for elementary school age children.

My 3rd grade daughter read this book and really liked that there were two seperate stories. She also loved the characters and thought "Bear" was hilarious.

The illustrations are fantastic and added some additional humor to the book. We are excited to read more books in this series!

I thoroughly enjoy Philippa Gregory's Tudor novels and was very excited when I found out she has written children's novels. THE MAMMOTH ADVENTURE is the third in THE PRINCESS RULES series that follows Princess Florizella and some of her friends.

Gregory brings readers along on daring adventures as Princess Florizella learns about true friendship and how to embrace who you are and what you have. Gregory has created a true heroine in Princess Florizella and a wonderful character for young readers and young girls to embrace and look up to. Gregory uses adventures to engage the reader and peppers in morals so children learn while having fun.

I am excited to read all of THE PRINCESS RULES books as my children grow up and watch them light up as they read about the strong, independent, Princess Florizella, who does not accept the 'rules' others try to apply to what it means to be a princess.

I was genuinely surprised how much I liked the book even though I'm sure I wasn't the target audience. The two stories in this book were really cute and sweet. It would be perfect for younger audience because they include animals and a royalty family. It was a good time and I highly recommend this book to children.
