I don’t like pregnancy as a trope. I really despise it but Laquette is the only, one that is read. The glam and glitz of this third entry in the DeVeaux Inc series didn’t disappoint. Talk about sexy, swooning over Lennox! Jeesh he was one of the hottest MCs I’ve read in a whole
This is a Romance, and this is the third book in the Devereaux series. I have not read the other books in this series, but I do not think that took away from my enjoyment of this book. I loved the characters in this book, and I enjoyed the romance and the drama in this book. The romance in this book was one night stand turn into a fake marriage. This is not a cute fun romance, but it is a romance of two hard headed business people. I loved there was drama mixed into the romance. This book pulled me into it from the beginning, and it kept me wanting to not put it down. I really enjoyed this book and love every minute I spent reading this book. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher (Harlequin Desire) or author (LaQuette) via NetGalley, so I can give an honest review about how I feel about this book. I want to send a big Thank you to them for that. This book is schedule to be release on April 26-2022.
Thank you NetGalley and Harlequin/Harlequin Desire for this ARC in exchange for my fair and honest review. All opinions are my own. Scheduled to be released on April 26, 2022.
“One Night Expectations” by LaQuette, new author to this reader was an enjoyable romance story. Amara Devereaux-Rodriguez loves her grandfather but feels he is overlooking her abilities in the family company. After a troublesome day at work and needing a drink, she doesn’t expect to run into Lennox Carlisle the one person her grandfather wants her to steer clear of. Unfortunately, a one-night stand turns into the kind of trouble she was not anticipating…trouble that changes the lives of both Amara and Lennox. There was a mix of drama, a fake marriage and angst between the H/h. Well-written story that engaged my attention from beginning to end.
