Description
She will never be broken again.
Lady Perdita Tinley—Dita to her loved ones—was raised to be the perfect aristocratic wife. Daughter of an earl, she had the best of everything. But, when the love of her life rejects her, her ideal life collapses around her.
Betrayed and abandoned, Dita swears off marriage.
Still, her passionate spirit won't accept the quiet spinster life. Determined to help her beloved brother—a key player in the fight against Napoleon—Dita transforms into the perfect spy. Beneath her elegant petticoats hides the mind of a general.
He's desperate to resist her.
Dashiell West, Earl of Beldon, isn't the marrying kind. Crushed by his father's death, Dash turned his back on the ton. His life is a long, blurry series of gaming hells, debauchery, and dissipation. But, the life of a heartless rake may just be his last chance at salvation. When Dita's brother—once Dash's best friend—is taken hostage by the French, Dash's seedy contacts are the only clue that can help save him.
It just means being near the woman he cannot forget.
As Dash and Dita put their lives at risk, the stakes climb higher. Can they set their tortured past aside long enough to save the realm?
Or will their dark history make them lose their lives—along with their shattered hearts?
Coming in July, Jacki Delecki's passionate, suspenseful Regency world of A Lady's School for Spies, where daring ladies follow their path to happily ever after amidst the dangerous undercover fight against Napoleon.
Advance Praise
"Have you ever wished an author was a robot? I have and especially with this author so she could write faster. Her writing is amazing from details you want to know, great main and secondary characters, suspense, twists, intrigue, humor and just the right amount of spice.
The opening scene tore at my heart. The H/h are in love and he promises her when his awful father dies he will marry her. When his father does die, he finally seeks her out but not the propose, but to break up with her and not in a very nice way. Her heart is beyond repair and she vows to never give her heart away again.
As the story unfolds you soon realize not all is as it seems. Three years go by and they meet again and the banter is spot on. So many interesting secondary characters add to this story with not only humor and some surprises as who they are. Loved that and was shocked at how it unraveled."
Lovemaking, outside of marriage - heat level 4 out of 5 and described a few times. I felt a connection to this couple and it was filled with passion and not just lust.
No cheating, no cliffhanger, great characters, fantastic dialogue, humor, suspense, bad villains, HEA, romance and steam. I can't improve on the blurb, just giving you tidbits to decide if you want to read this story. I can tell you from this story, the series will be amazing." -- ARC Reviewer
"A Dash of Disguise (A Lady’s School for Spies) is exciting, is full of action, and has star crossed lovers who are well developed and believable. I love Perdita and Dash and look forward to their further adventures! Rated R for a couple of erotic scenes." -- ARC Reviewer
