I am very new to the world of Ayurvedic medicine and teachings but it seems to be popping up everywhere I look these days so I figured I'd give this book a try. I really enjoyed the format of it as its very "user friendly" and easily searchable based on whatever ailment you are trying to address. It also gives tons of general advice on how to raise your children holistically. This was a really good introduction to Ayurveda and I really look forward to implementing many of the practices. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I really enjoyed reading The Parent's Complete Guide to Ayurveda. This book gives an introduction to ayurveda and does an excellent job to help readers understand ayurveda. There's a lot of information and the boxed charts definitely helps out. I did not expect there to be recipes at the end of the book. That was golden and makes practicing ayurveda easier.
I only gave this book 4 stars because I felt like there was a lot information, which isn't bad, but it was all in paragraphs. It's a lot of information and not everyone learns just by reading. I am a visual learner and there was just too much information for me to absorb and completely understand. Any pictures or boxed charts would be very helpful. (And yes, I understand that this isn't a book that one would remember entirely in one read, but it would still be helpful to have multiple ways of learning in the book.)
