Description
Laker, a young Bigfoot, loves to play. But who can he play with? He explores the sights, sounds, smells, tastes, and touches in his forest world as he searches for and finds friends. He is surprised when the answer to a mystery gives him one more friend. This chapter book entertains with a touch of humor as it reinforces science concepts usually taught in third and fourth grades.

Laker is a cute, little Sasquatch aka Bigfoot growing up in the woods. We loved his stories and how inquisitive he was, just like a child. We especially loved his interaction with the animals in his woods and the little boy near his home. The science information at the end was great, too. We’d love more books in this series.
This is such a lovely book to share and discuss with children. Laker is a young bigfoot and he's discovering the world around him, in the most adorable way. He learns to sit quietly and watch the smaller creatures in the forest, he learns about the sun and the moon. He learns to make new playmates and to share with them. There's a section at the back that explains what the technical words are for some of the situations encountered in the story. The concepts explored are easy for children to grasp and relate to. The book doesn't condescend in any way, it's just a fun and engaging story about recognising the differences between different species and different environments. I really look forward to reading this with as many young children as possible.
I loved this book.so much!!! Its nice to read about a little Bigfoot finally!! I loved that he was so curious about things. This book is so cute when he is learning on his own. He sees a difference in animals and humans. Still he gets scared until he saw a little boy. The boy gave him something and little bigfoot cherished the thing. I will let you all.read the book. I do not really want to give away what happened. So trust me when I aay.its a great book and needs to get read.
I received a free book and is voluntarily writing a review.
Great book!!!!
The book has enough Illustrations and texts, not too much so it has a perfect balance for the text and the Illustrations. The story itself is so engaging.
The story was interesting, I enjoyed that it showed Bigfoot being curious about the world around him and not that he was some big strange creature. My son has been very intrigued by Bigfoot for quite some time so I thought this was an age appropriate educational read.
