A light and heartwarming yet informative read about a curious tiger who can’t help but ask questions to all the other animals in the forest. Teaches about biodiversity and the importance of habitats for species survival. The ending invites the reader to infer who hunts the tigers. The illustrations are bright and geared towards a younger audience. The writing is simple in form, and serves as a good mentor text to older students who might try writing an informative picture book narrative style.
This one features the cutest little Tiger Trio: A Mother Tiger and her two cubs, Tejas and Tara, who journey through the jungle learning about various animals and what they eat, from wild boar, to a friendly monkey, to an otter, and more. This one is educational, adorable, and shows how every animal and their habitats and eating habits all contribute to making the world go round in their own unique ways. The moral of this one is that knowledge is power, and it never hurts to know more about creatures that are different from you.
This was a really sweet story with a lot of interesting information in it. I liked the way the book showed a more complicated relationship between living things. Having the tigers not hunting and the young tiger express his curiosity showed it isn't all about hunting. There was a nice circle of life kind of touch on what the various animals eat that shows how everything is connected. I particularly loved the illustrations. Truly stunning and eye-catching!
I really like what this book represents. Curiosity can be such a great thing, asking questions and wanting to learn more is so important. I did feel that it was a bit too wordy for a children’s book, or at least one targeted toward younger children. However, this book teaches a great lesson for all ages: that asking questions helps you learn and that learning new things is very beneficial. I also enjoyed the concept of the tiger cup, asking all of the animals a tiger would typically eat, what they eat and so on, highlighting the circle of life with wild animals. The illustrations were also amazing, they were bright and colourful and very well done.
