This is a continuation of the last Rachel Ryder book. Although Rachel had solved a series of murders committed by a psychopath, his final words to her won't let her rest. The investigation of a new murder brings those words to the front of her mind. Why is this murder similar to the ones committed by the now dead perp? What did that rhyme mean? Is this another new killer or a copycat? When the murderer targets one of her colleagues, the race to solve this myster becomes intense. Will Rachel and her partner, Rob, be able to stop the killer in time? It's a great story, and I can't wait for the next book!

I really like the cover of Fatal Silence by Carolyn Ridder Aspenson—a bit eerie and spooky, so you get the sense the story will be the same.

The story had the right amount of intrigue, suspense, and action. I liked the characters, and the storyline did hold my interest. The story had some good twists. I also liked the author's writing style and how she developed the characters and unfolded the plot.

I would recommend this book and this author.

Great book! Wow this book had some crazy twists and turns! It also had suspense, intrigue, action packed, a great who done it some crazy police work and plenty of crazy twists! The storyline was very interesting and kept me glued to my Kindle! I highly recommend reading this book as it was well worth reading! Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!

I loved the character development between Detective Ryder and Kyle. I love how genuine Kyle was. I thought the pet gosh aspect was unique.
This was a quick read because I was so curious about what was happening. I picked this up and read as often as I could, and I was a little sad it ended.
A game of cat and mouse, or rather King and Pawn.

This talented author keeps getting better. I stopped several times, while reading this novel, and asked myself, "What next?" Red herrings abound. So many secrets...friends, coworkers, family...murders...revenge...the list goes on and on. There never seems to be an easy way to discern who the "mastermind" is that is causing so many murders. The protagonist in this book has lost her beloved husband, but she has found love again. She and the police she works with are good friends. They care about each other. I don't have the words to describe the suspense in this story. It would make a fantastic movie, but then we would be sitting on the edge...wondering...hoping...trying to figure out the ending. That is not possible. That being said, do not miss this book. Do not start reading at night as it will keep you up. Curl up in a comfy chair with a warm blanket. Spend an afternoon with the characters (who come alive on the pages) in this book. FATAL SILENCE was sent to me by Netgalley electronically for review. Thanks to the publisher and the author also.

Fatal silence has the detectives still trying to solve the murders with the cryptic clue and the suspect dead. The murders started again. Intriguing and the clues to follow will keep you reading until the end

Wow! What a great read. I could understand Ryder and Bishops frustrations with all the lies and manipulations happening. Chasing leads, going on gut feelings, they had a lot of support. The scenes they had to go to would not have been easy. Everything ended the way many hoped for. I really want to read the next book to see how things play out.

Another story I couldn't put down! I was sucked in from the beginning and couldn't read fast enough. I love these characters and have become invested in them. The pacing was fast and the suspense is high. There were several twists. The investigation was interesting. And the end left me on pins and needless. I can't wait for the next book!

I love this series - what more is there to say. Another one I couldn’t put down until I finished it.

I can’t wait to read the next one.
