Description

Today, all humans who work for a living are in business in one way or another. They are the participants, cheerleaders, anti-heroes, first responders, or economically injured people in a national and global game.

The media tend to divide the public into consumers and investors. This is no longer clever or useful.. Humans are far more than that. Most of them do the essential work that keep things going during turbulent times. They show up despite extreme weather events and deal with dysfunctional incidents, daily challenges, and multiplying uncertainties.

Yet once in a while it is necessary — even for the most enduring creatures —to stand back and take a deep breath. That’s where the Business Fables come in. They tell little stories that can make one’s day. They are satirical, sarcastic, wise and funny. They can bring a smile to one's face.

Review

Business Fables Adopted From Aesop For Humans Who Work for a Living is a spoof on American corporate culture that... explores the world of work.

Irony and social inspection come alive from the start...Whether analyzing office outings and assertiveness training or considering the ineffectiveness of megatrends and a fox who becomes involved in financing, each story holds a link to the business world that points out its ironies, inconsistencies, and underlying mirth that accompanies downfalls, misperceptions, and business strategies.

The idea is to elicit the rare laugh from the business-oriented mentality while adding a touch of thought-provoking inspection...The result is a rollicking good read that tempers humor with real-world inspections and invites all readers to consider the roots of decision-making and analytical process.

A Wonderful Retelling of Aesop's Fables.......................

Business Fables Adopted From Aesop For Humans Who Work For a Living by Erika Shelby re- incarnates our favorite classic Aesop's Fables. Each story is set with animal characters and are full of humor and satire. And the most exquisite thing about the book is that it gives you an insight into the prevalent business practices. Also, it throws some light on many issues like employee exploitation, malpractices etc. I really enjoyed the book.

Definitely, 5 stars for the book. Thanks to BooksGoSocial and Netgalley for providing me with an opportunity to read and review the book.
