17-year-old Mageia Unknown is an orphan and the leader of a group of defected youths living on the outskirts of the Kingdom of Ardania. Growing up into a skilled thief and sword fighter, she makes it her duty to take care of her family, no matter the cost. But when an act of heroism goes wrong, she finds her fate lies in the hands of someone she grew up to hate.

17-year-old Grisonce Arlon is not the most respected prince in the kingdom. But when his obsession with the Fairest Prophecy intervenes with the case of the one called the Purple Thief, he turns into a royal joke. Thank you to Royal Writes Publishing, Netgalley and LeQuita C. Harrison for this ARC.

For those who enjoy a mythical read, you'll love this one. Mageia Uknown, known as the The Purple Thief, is captured and sentenced to a life of slavery. Gris, despite his royal blood, endures shames and disrespect daily from family and others in his kingdom. Gris is determined to prove that Mageia is a Fairest and sentencing her to death will have terrible consequences. The Fairest takes you on journey that explores the consequences of greed, false beliefs, and corruption.

The strory takes place in the KINGDOM OF ARDANIA. Here the Diviine Six, have since been replaced and many follow the beliefs of the Ordained. As a result, people known as Strange, considered defected, cursed, and unwanted by the gods are condemned to a life of servitude until exonerated by their masters, the Crown, or death. As the story unfolds, we began to learn more about long-lost bloodlines, powers and secrets that been set in place to ensure those in power are not dethroned by rightful heirs. Part 1 did a great job at giving history and laying the foundation. I can't wait to see what's in store next for Mageia, Gris and the people of Ardania.

I really enjoyed this book! It started off with a captivating scene and managed to hold my interest throughout the full story. The world building wasn't too difficult to understand and the plot was well-paced. I absolutely loved the characters and was really enthralled by them. I am looking forward to reading more books by LeQuita Harrison.

The Fairest is a very good and interesting story to read. The book take place in a strange and fairest world. The book focus on Mageia, a 17-year girl who despite an orphanage cares her for family and Gris, a 17-year-old prince from a royal family despite being seen as a joke in his family, he cares for others and is willing to stand up for what is right.

The first six chapters were okay, but after Chapter 7 this is where things start to get fascinating. The book gets more and more intense half through the story with the main villain. One thing I do really like about the book is the characters, especially the main characters. I like how the Gris and Mageia's relationship develops in the book and how despite them being different from each other, they manage to work together and help each other out. I like how this book isn't afraid to show mature themes and violence.

The Fairest is a wonderful story that will make you invest with the characters and its' world building.
