Description
La Ion is happiest when he's on the soccer field with friends. So when he transfers to a new school, he's excited to see if it has a soccer club.
But the kids he meets aren't kicking a ball around—they're controlling soccer robots! Soon La Ion is stuck in the middle of a rivalry between the robot-soccer club and its battle-robot rivals. And as the pressure to choose a side builds, he’ll also discover his own hidden talents . . .
Soccer Robots vs. Battle Robots kicks off the Robot Makers manhwa series with an introduction to robotics history, including key concepts, famous figures, power sources, and more.

Thank you Lerner Publishing Group, Podoal Friend, and NetGalley for a copy of this ARC.
I requested this book because my son loves comics, soccer, and robots so this book seemed perfect. The comics follow La Ion, a kid that loves soccer and is excited to find out the new school he transferred to has a soccer club. However, it's not an ordinary soccer club. Instead of kicking around soccer balls, they're controlling soccer robots!
We read the comics together and they kept him entertained for quite awhile with all the different stories. The comics were colorful and each story was unique. His favorite story was "Soccer, Not Robot Soccer." I also enjoyed the education information at the end of each comic.
I'd definitely recommend this book for kids that enjoy soccer and robots. 5/5 stars.
