Cat Dads is a short but sweet book all about different kinds of cat dads, and how despite being underrepresented in the media, cat dads are just as important as other cat parents. The book was beautifully illustrated throughout, and quotes and other fun facts were presented in a great layout. I loved the quotes throughout the book, as I thought it was interesting to read what different well-known figures had to say about cats. Whilst I am currently not a cat dad, I have been in the past and found this book highly relatable and entertaining, especially the quiz about the kind of cat dad you are, and all the different meanings of cat body language. I would really recommend this to anyone interested in cats, particularly people who are/want to be cat dads, as it’s a very fun read.
I requested this book to see if it would be the perfect gift for my Cat Dad husband, and I absolutely cannot wait to pick up a copy for him. Cat Dads are in right now and this book hits the nail on the head for cute, funny, and sweet. This book represents my husband in so many ways, and I am sure so many other men will be able to laugh at this and see their ridiculous selves in this book.
This book has lots to give:
- cute illustrations
- very good tips about how a cat thinks and how you can learn to understand the signs
- very empathic explanations without being silly or over the top - if you live with a cat you‘ll find yoiurself at home immediately
- the right bit of humor and
- the love to the cats that‘s pouring through every line.
The book is not only for Cat Dads! It‘s more a marketing gag to grab attention of those who until recently haven‘t been the main group for being cat lovers: men.
Have fun!
Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for providing a copy of this little gem!
Princess Fuzzypants here: Cat Dads and Cat Brothers are a special breed. Not only do they have exactingly good taste, they are intelligent, kind and superior in every way…just like the objects of their adoration= us kitties.
This book is a lovely homage to those masculine members of the human race who have reached the lofty heights of being loved by those of us of the feline persuasion. It has a quiz that will tell you which kind of cat dad you are. My brother Scott is clearly the doting type. There are chapters that will help you become an even better cat dad. Since we are perfection in fur, striving for that goal should be the aspiration of all cat dads.
It has wonderful quotes from very devoted cat dads in history. And it has a chapter with a selection of cat dads both real and fictional. Plus there is some charming art to accompany each chapter. It is too bad this did not come out before Fathers Day but it will be well in time for Catmus. I think any cat dad would be delighted to receive the book as a present. Five purrs and two paws up.
Wholesome, essentials, and CUTE CUTE CUTE
For all the cat dads out there, this book is for the go.
IN LOVE WITH THE ILLUSTRATIONS.
It covers everything from the basic, feelings, gesture, body languages, and benefits.
I love how they put the quotes. The layout made it easy to read 👌👌 highly recommended
