Description
He's a victim. But is he innocent?
THE BODY
In a village in South West England, an elderly man is found dead in his home. The angle of his neck says he fell down the stairs. The stab wound on his body tells a different story.
THE EVIDENCE
In the weeks before his murder, Alistair Moreton changed. He usually kept himself to himself, but people swear there was someone in the house when they checked on him, that there was a reason he wouldn’t let them inside.
THE PUNISHMENT
Moreton made people’s lives a misery, from his neighbours to his ex-pupils. While DS George Cross’s list of suspects is long, every victim deserves justice.
But in all of Alistair’s years, there was something important he never learned:
If you go through life making enemies, don’t be surprised when they teach you a lesson.
Perfect for fans of M.W. Craven, Peter James and Joy Ellis, The Teacher is part of the DS George Cross thriller series, which can be read in any order.
Why readers love George Cross . . .
‘The fact that Cross has been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder makes him just as intriguing as the murder mystery’ The Times

I haven't read all the authors books in his George Cross series and the ones I have read I have thoroughly enjoyed. This extract of The Teacher, the next George Cross book is great. I loved being back in George's world and following him as he, along with a new DI, investigate a murder. Great writing, and wonderful, laugh out loud humour. I love this authors writing style and his portrayal of DS George Cross is brilliant. I know I'll very much enjoy the full book and hope I'm approved for it.
5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Hell yeah! This excerpt indicates that we are in for a treat and that this new instalment in this series is going to be every bit as enthralling as the ones that came before. Sullivan knows how to build tension steadily to the point where it almost feels suffocating and has a way with words that make each book an absolute pleasure to devour. I cannot wait to be able to delve into the whole story when it is published in January.
I just reviewed The Teacher - extract by Tim Sullivan. #theteacher #netgalley
What a magnificent start to this extract. Having read all of the previous Tim Sullivan books in this range about DS Cross, I can’t get enough of him. DS Cross is brilliant and I love his character so much, blunt and to the point. Can’t wait for the complete book
Thank you Netgalley
The Teacher is Tim Sullivan’s latest book in the DS Cross Thriller series. I’m so please to have the opportunity to read this extract ahead of the book’s publication. This time George Cross is faced with another murder involving an elderly gentleman in a small village in South West England and. With his usual partner, Josie, on leave as she moves her household, DS Cross is forced to work with a temporary and rather obnoxious partner.
Mr Sullivan has written another intriguing book featuring a unique character who is blunt, observant, and clever. I not only like the main character, I also like the interactions he has with his colleagues and the people he meets during his investigations. The way his fellow officers protect and help George makes this series even better.
I’m a huge fan and from what I’ve read thus far, The Teacher promises to be entertaining, interesting, and just plain good. NetGalley provided an advance copy.
