Love Is an Art is book 2 in the New York Spark series by Kathy Strobos and it was such a cute and fun romance read. I loved My Book Boyfriend and was super excited to open this sweet little book up.
This story was so wholesome and unbelievably cute. The plot was well-paced and captivating from start to finish. The characters were charming and witty. This book was equally funny as it was charming and heartwarming.
All in all, this was an entertaining read with an adorable romance.
And I’ll read anything KS writes.

WOW. I have no words. This book was brilliant, so well written and I was hooked. Never read anything by Kathy but I am now going to check her books because I enjoyed so much that I can not wait to read about the other side characters in this book.

Tessa is a LAWYER. but today she is pretending to be a struggling artist to help one of her friends to catch a Scammer, what she did not expect is to find herself attracted to a very handsome blonde guy, so she tries to get the blonde's attention aka Zeke, and she does manage for him to get her a drink and to talk to her, sadly Scammer guy was there when Zeke ask what does she do for a living. Did she do what a normal person would do? No!
She carried on pretending because they really wanted to catch this guy. She thought I will tell him later, and he will understand, RIGHT?

Zeke has come out of a very bad brake up, she cheated and he now does not trust LAWYERS and LIARS. So when Tessa hears Zeke saying he does not want to date a lawyer, she decides she needs to convince him, just pretend for one or two more dates and tell him the truth. How will it go?

Well I don't want to give any spoilers, but what a ride! This book was full of action, giggles, tension and chemistry, I loved Tessa's character, she was so lovable from the beggining, she is one of those characters that she would do anything for her loved ones, like crazy anything, and Zeke, oh he has been hurt, so I understand his reluctancy on Tessa, and I enjoyed how the author described in the book real life insecurities and how both characters deal with them as individuals. It was a very realistic book where helps some peope to feel identified.

This is a closed door romance, so don't expect any spicy or steam, but the build up chemistry and tension, makes up for it. I just wished the book was longer because I really enjoyed it!

This is the second book I have read by this author. It is also the second book in Kathy's 'New York Spark' series. I have also read Kathy's 'A Scavenger Hunt For Hearts' which is another fantastic book by Kathy which I would also highly recommend!!!


This novel consists of 47 chapters and 2 epilogues. The chapters are short in length so easy to read 'just one more chapter' before bed...OK, I know yeah right, but still just in case!



LOVE, LOVE, LOOOOOOVVVEEE , LOVED IT!!! A HUGE WELL DONE KATHY ON AN ABSOLUTELY SWEET FANTASTIC HEARTWARMER ♥!!!


I absolutely adored this beautiful, sweet, page turning romance with surprises you won't see coming!! The storyline itself is romantically charged and filled with love, friendship, lies, twists, humour, comedy, romance, fun and absolutely everything you could want in an absolutely adorable book!!! The storyline is unique and I absolutely loved the idea of a lawyer finding romance with a lawyer and liar hater so she decides to lie and make out she is a struggling artist!!! This is something I would definitely not recommend trying at home but by God it was hilarious to read!!! Although this is the second book in the series I had absolutely no problems reading it without reading the first book in the series prior to this one. Any details or events that have previously happened are mentioned in just the right amount of detail to let a new reader know what has happened and yet not too much to bore a previous reader. It made me laugh, scream, shout, angry, jump for joy and getting a few strange looks from my partner while I was doing all this!! Along the way there are tears, happiness, disasters, secrets, romance, friendship and sparks flying everywhere!! Kathy's evocative writing skills brings the story life and one minute your chilling at home with the book in your hand and the next you've been sucked straight into the storyline cringing with Tessa's lies, giggling away and feeling your heart warm up!!!

Kathy does a fantastic job of weaving the multiple protagonist storylines together at just the right times so we can see how both Tessa and Zeke are feeling and what they are doing without spoiling the storyline. This book had me in stitches on several occasions and at other times left me sitting there going shouting at a certain person and getting some very strange looks!! There was plenty going on and I absolutely loved every moment of it. The storyline is unique and I think it is such a fantastic plot I really would love to see this turned into a movie!! I would be the first barging their way in front to get tickets!! There were so many large and unique personalities in this book and thanks to Kathy's amazing writing skills each and every one of them came alive. I absolutely LOVED watching all the separate relationships develop and change between the characters and I would love to see where each goes and what they get up to next along with hoping to meet them in the future books in this series! I completely devoured this book in a couple of hours and it was a great escape from reality!!! This book was filled with a lovely range of characters and I would absolutely love to meet them all again!! Hint hint Kathy 😉 A huge WELL done to Kathy for bringing them to life!! I read the blurbs of the previous book in this series as well as the first chapters (included at the back of this book) and I cannot wait to get stuck in to them!!


An absolutely stunning read by Kathy!! If you are looking for that perfect read to lift your spirits, and keep you hooked then what are you waiting for??
