This truly is the perfect beginner’s guide. It goes over everything you need to know in details and makes it simple to understand for those of us with no knowledge on how to get started in the practices of divination.
Great Divination Book for Beginners
Liz Dean has provided simple techniques any beginner in divination can learn. She begins, firstly, by explaining what crystal reading is, stating that one would interpret a group of crystals that fall randomly or are placed in a layout. Further adding that interpreting the random fall of crystals is known as stonecasting. She provides a list of many crystals and their divinatory meaning.
The author discusses the importance for cleansing your crystals stating that cleansing removes any energies they may have picked up on their journey to you. Additionally, she provides and discusses the following methods, any of which you may choose or use another preferred method:
1. Water
2. Sunlight or Moonlight
3. Incense or Smudging
4. Breath
5. White-Light Visualization
Secondly, the author discusses divination with Runes by explaining that runes, a sequence of literal and symbolic letters, are the ancient sacred alphabet of the Germanic peoples of northern Europe. She discusses the various types of runes, the letters in each, their meaning, and their interpretation for each of the following runes:
• Frey’s Aett
• Hagalaz’s Aett
• Tyr’s Aett
Additionally, she goes further by discussing reading the runes.
Thirdly, Liz Dean discusses divination with tea leaves stating that tea leaf reading as a divinatory art has been handed down from mother to daughter, as an unwritten wisdom that in some families has become an honored tradition. She discusses how to read tea leave, how to interpret your cup, and provides an indepth listing of tea leaf symbols.
The author discusses various other divination methods such as Palmistry, Tarot card reading, Numerology, and Scrying with a Crystal Ball.
The is, thus far, one of the best written books on divination for beginners that I've read. It is definitely a must have for a beginner, and a great reference book for anyone practicing divination.
I highly recommend.
