This was so cute! Great for Earth Day - definitely strong themes of caring for the Earth all throughout. The illustrations are gorgeous. I loved the rhyming cadence of the text, some of the rhymes were very creative. I also liked that the examples went beyond the traditional reduce, reuse, recycle to show tangible examples of what those mean as well as other creative ways to be good to the Earth. Definitely a great add to a child's library. There are some words that were a little more difficult than I was expecting for this level of book, but overall the story was excellent! Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this eARC.
This is such a cute story. I loved every second of it! I can't wait to order it for my library. I loved that the names of the dinosaurs were given.
I received this as an e-ARC from Lerner Publishing Group on NetGalley.
This was a cute book, loved the cadence and rhyming. My 5 year loved it and stayed engaged while I was reading it to him. I liked the colorful illustrations and I think the verbiage is perfect for young children. The book is also educational no just on the environment but also on different types of dinosaurs. The themes and ideas are easy to follow within the book, which is great especially for young readers.
Overall loved this book!
I will never tire of reading the Dino-Holidays series! I love the rhymes and the flow of these books and not a day goes by where one of my kids don't request one of them! This one was no exception, fun, adorable, informative!
This is absolutely adorable! I loved this so much! The illustration was so cute! I loved the story and the cute Dinos!
My son has recently found Lisa Wheeler's Dino series (sports and holidays) and I was delighted to see the Earth Day themed book will be published soon. We really enjoyed reading this book together. Although climate change can be a daunting topic for adults, Dino-Earth Day features a lot of simple and fun ways for kids to get involved with caring for the planet. This book promotes a very important message in a positive way, and I look forward to reading it again and again with my son. Thanks to Lerner Publishing Group for the Read Now ARC of DIno Earth Day, which publishes in 2024.
What a cute book! It’s a great way for kids to learn about Earth Day and how to better take care of the earth. Especially if they love dinosaurs like mine! The rhymes were catchy and I loved the illustrations.
Dino-Earth Day is a delightful addition to Lisa Wheeler's popular Dino-Holidays book series. (She also has Dino-Sports books.) Using easy rhyming the Dinosaur friends spend the day taking care of the earth. They pick up trash from parks and rivers, ride bikes and scooters, plant in the urban garden and visit a recycling center. I like that all the activities are realistically things kids can do to be mindful of taking care of the planet. Of course the illustrations are colorful and bright. This will be a great addition to my school library shelf. Geared towards grades K-3rd.
I’m enjoying these dinosaur-themed picture books by author Lisa Wheeler and illustrator Barry Gott! This one is just right for sharing with young children celebrating Earth Day or anytime you want to talk about caring for Mother Earth. The colorful illustrations combine with humorous text to create one treasure of a book.
