Diane H. Nettles’ self-help guide for widows, Grab Life by the Bungees: And 50+ Other Ways to Find Humor, Hope, and Happiness After Your Partner Has Died, is an excellent positive, reassuring read. The book contains 11 chapters on different topics that are applicable at different stages of the grief journey. The author provides compassionate and sometimes humorous advice on navigating grief and moving forward with life. While the book is obviously geared for widows, many of the tips can be used for people dealing with other losses.
I received an advance review copy (ARC) from NetGalley and Ten Alstroemerias Press for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
