Oh, this book is fun!! It encourages self-examination in both quick and easy ways, and also through questions that give one pause to contemplate more deeply. It covers a wide range of topics and has you compare what your answers would have been in the past, what they are now, and how you would like to envision your future.

It's so easy to be drawn into this book, and I was impressed with both the quality of the questions, and the various ways they were presented.

This would make a great gift for yourself or others. I highly recommend it!

My thanks to Charter House for allowing me to access a DRC of the book via NetGalley. Publication is set for 12/12/23. All opinions expressed in this review are my own and are freely given.

Oh, these are fun questions I'll admit! There are this versus that questions to gauge preferences and also questions that make you stop and think and this could really be a good companion to a journal-so you can read and answer the questions all year long.
Thanks Netgalley for the eARC.

I loved reading all these 300+ questions and wrote several of them down in my journal to explore further until the book is available. I can see where this would be a great gift for a teenager, or anyone of any age really. There is just enough space under each question to make it unintimidating for someone not used to writing, but spacious enough for those for whom words come easily.

The questions are divided into three categories… About Me, My History, and My Future. Most are questions but some are posed as “this or that” or other intriguing formats.

Thanks to NetGalley, the author and publisher for an advanced reading copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Life Questions is a great new tool for therapists who have exhausted their list of “go-to” icebreaker questions. The fillable journal provides prompts focused on the past, present, and future in a variety of formats. This book would be a great journal to recommend for clients who need gentle guidance through self-reflection as well as a fantastic family assignment for building attachments or bridging connections. Even the most seasoned clinician sometimes needs new ideas to boost creativity and reenergize the work.

I think this is a great book for people wanting to do self-reflection, journaling, and for writing to work out specific issues. I had access to the Kindle, but this would be better as a physical book, and it has lots of space to write. It might even be better to have so you could write different answers every year and compare them. There are also several comparison questions, such as what kinds of things you prefer.
The questions cover everything from what your childhood was like to what your dreams and goals are. That's why this would also be terrific if someone wanted to use the questions as writing prompts.
Thanks to NetGalley for letting me read this

As someone who has been trying to get into jour sling for years- I cannot get enough of books that give prompts for reflection and journaling. As someone who always has A LOT to say, I took the questions and put them into my own journal to reflect rather than use the space provided. However, the space provided makes it very easy accessible for those who aren’t quite as sure in their voice or new to writing in general. There is a wide range of subjects the prompts span which I greatly appreciated. I would absolutely gift this to someone in my life.
