Description
Brilliantly delineating the inner lives of her characters, J.C. Peterson tells a story about parents and children and their inextricable relationships in this stunning new novel, her most accomplished yet. Moving, utterly satisfying –it is a work of dazzling inventiveness of plot and character we’ve come to expect from her books: Wetback, Joseph’s Journey, Sovereign Scepter, Mona’s Secret, and Requiem for The Captain. She can be found at her website: www.jcpeterson.com
A Note From the Publisher
Author’s Note:
This story takes place in a town near my home; however
it could be a story playing out in many cities where
questions arise concerning how we address social problems
like abortion, drugs, and human relationships. Testimonials
gathered from Port Townsend’s history indicate that
the problems are not new, but the way we deal with them
changes. Our attitudes resist tradition and indicate that
there is a constant yearning toward individualism, personal
sovereignty and freedom, not only for one but for all.
