Fun and eye catching illustration for younger readers and has a diverse of characters. Definitely a good addition to any library and class library.
This was an adorable children's book! I love the different illustrations and they fit the story well. I love the diversity within the book! Children of all ages will enjoy this book.
I’ll start by saying the illustrations were beautiful and I especially enjoyed all the diversity in the book. With that, at times I felt as though the writing style was not always cohesive and I went back to reread, remembering that it is a rhyming book. All together, it is a great little book to read to younger students to engage them in conversation and apply lesson plans around the book
This is a super cute kids book! I loved the illustrations and the diversity represented in the family and the bright, fun, colorful illustrations really worked well with the text on each page. There were a couple of references in the text to things that are more European in nature (Mum/Mummy and rock sticks?) - I wasn't sure what candy was being referred to in the first story - rock sticks of some sort?
I thought the rhyming gave the book a good cadence and could see my kids enjoying it. It did seem to me like the main character young girl had some inconsistencies in her illustration throughout the story. There were a few pages where her features looked a little inconsistent with the rest of the illustrations. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC of this book to read.
"I Like" by Marlon Huggins is a very cute children’s book! The illustrations are so adorable. I enjoyed the positive message of the book.
This is brilliant for young children. The illustrations are very good, colourful and bright. A perfect night time story.

This is so cute and I loved the illustrations. My daughter struggles with going to sleep so I enjoyed the pages where she talked about having sorrow at bedtime but excited for all of the new adventures she’ll have tomorrow ❤️ I would definitely check this book out from our local library.
Thank you to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for providing me access to a copy of this book.
It was a nice, short book that is perfect to read right before bed time. It goes over several things that children like, that adults in their lives may take for granted, such as playing games in the treehouse or helping an adult cook dinner. The illustrations were great with very vivid colors.
Overall, it is a great book for younger kids who have shorter attention spans.
A beautiful, uplifting book highlighting the joy to be found in the everyday. I appreciated the diversity of characters showcased and loved the rhymes included. Great vibrant illustrations as well.
Many thanks to the author, publisher and Netgalley for providing this ARC in exchange for an unbiased review.
Adorable children's book! Would be a great bedtime story for a child to reflect on all of the things they like to do, and to be excited to do it all over again. Super cute illustrations too.
Cute short book about all of the things that Cleo likes. She shows you what she likes to do by taking you on a journey through her life.
Thanks to NetGalley and the Publisher for the ARC.
Follow the main character as they find the positives throughout their day and share all the things they like.
Found the illustrations radiated the positivity instilled in this book.
What a lovely story that also highlights the importance of family time and ensuring you enjoy it.
I do however wish they’d given the main character a name as I feel it helps children to connect a bit more.
Dare I say that I love this book? Or would it be more appropriate to say that I Like it?
The illustrations captivated my daughter, who as an active child can be picky when it comes to what can hold her attention.
We giggled together at a few of the sillier images.
Overall, we adored this book and can’t wait to add it to our nightly book rotation.
What a gorgeous little book. My granddaughter loved it. It’s engaging, the story is well written and we love the rhyming. The illustrations are beautiful. I can say “I like it! “
4/5 Stars! Thank you, NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for eARC of I Like by Marlon Huggins.
Pretty quick and cute little book to read to my little one. The illustrations were bright and colorful, got my little ones engaging when reading this story. I love how it focuses on the importance of family and spending time together. Wish there was a name that my kiddos can refer to.
Very cute story that children will love to read. Plan to use this for storytime programs or outreach events for my public library! Great read!
Awesome children’s book with beautiful and engaging illustrations. This title should be added to all children’s bookshelves!
Pure cover request. Lovely illustrations throughout as well. But as a Black educator, smiling, joyful Black and brown kids deserve to be seen happy and upfront!
It’s a quick and fast read that will keep the kids engaged. I loved that the sentences rhymed and the illustration were great.
Cleo goes on an adventurous day and has new experiences alongside her family in this sweet picture book written using a rhyming scheme. I loved that the family depicted here is biracial as it will be vital representation for some children. Cleo's day will encourage kids to have fun and to seek out the enjoyment in each day.

The story of a young girl and her activities . The book is a good social learning book. Teaching children positive behaviors and activities. Shows families and supportive relationships. The book also shows how to care for your self and sharing your feelings and activities. The book also helps with writing example allowing children access to a empathic journal narrative for Journaling.
Cute illustrations. Such a sweet short story. Very positive. When asked for an opinion on the book, my child said “check”, as it was apparently enjoyed.
I found it very hard to rate children's books so everything is a 5 star read for me!!
I really loved this book, the illustrations are so beautiful and captivating that I found myself smiling through every page I read.
I Like by Marlon Huggins is a cute story with a kid naming all the things they like about their life and their day. They like spending time with their parents, being outside and hanging out with friends. The illustrations are bright and cheerful and suit the affirmations spread throughout this book.
My kids and I enjoyed reading this and then taking turns naming all the things we liked about our days and our lives. Great reminder to practice gratitude.

This is a great little story with cute and simple illustrations.
It's going to be a great conversation starter for kids in the classroom about every day things they love to do with friends and family.
I'll definitely pick it up for my classroom!

I love the diversity in this book, I know kids will be over the moon with seeing their own families in the pictures. A very cute day in the life of a lively little kiddo.
Adorable Cleo recounts some of her favorite activities — a visit to the beach, a science experiment, ice cream from the truck, and more — in this lovely picture book.
Marlon Huggins words are charming, but readers will love his illustrations even more.

This was an enjoyable little book. I liked how there were people from different ethnicities included. The little girl liked to do many different things and seemed to have a lot of fun doing them.
The illustrations were very nice and well done. This book would be a great book for any child’s library!
Through illustrations and a comfortable easy rhyme scheme our little one shows and tells about so many things that are liked. Including crystalline sugar on a stick that is called "rock candy" in Wisconsin. Absolutely perfect within a program to overcome some forms of dyslexia.
The illustrations by the author are imaginative, colorful, and delightful.
Well suited for reading WITH someone of any age including ESL, and great for gifting to everyone, but especially to a school, hospital, or your local public library!
I requested and received a free temporary e-book on PDF from BooksGoSocial via NetGalley. Thank you!

A fabulously colourful book for young children which is perfect for sharing and generating lots of discussion about what they like. It is written in rhyme which is certain to delight the children and could also be used for developing predictions since the colourful pictures display over several pages so the next part of the rhyme is not always visible. I loved this book.
This children's story is a sweet one with a nice flow of rhymes and warmth. I think a lot of readers will enjoy this one.
Thank you to the author and publishers for allowing me this review copy via Netgalley.
Really cute book full of beautiful and colorful illustrations. It's a very short story but I think it's perfect for young children around the age of 2 to 4 years old not to get bored.
I particularly loved how inclusive the drawings were and the overall positive message of the story. There isn't really any plot or conflict, but it feels more like a poetic list of all the things in life that kids love to do, so I think they'll enjoy it a lot.
*Thanks to NetGalley uk, the publishers and the author for the ARC*
This book is simply adorable! Bright, colorful and entertaining, too! It’s a quick and entertaining read. Very positive and uplifting, guaranteed to leave children with a smile on their face. I will definitely be adding this one to my classroom library. Highly recommend.
Cute children’s read. I like the rhyming component of it. The illustrations are diverse and vibrant. I’d buy this for my niece and read to her and hopefully she’ll read it once she’s a little older.
This is a healthy book for children to explore what they like. As a parent, one must always give their children everything that makes them learn new things in this world and they will eventually learn about their skill that they need to furnish in future.
Cleo went on a journey full of fun with her family. She did experiments at school, watch seaside, build treehouse with her father. This shows the daily life of a happy family where children grow to instill better values and sense of happiness in themselves.
Illustrations were also very good. So clear and joyful.

In this adorable story we follow little Cleo as she goes about her day and exploring her world. She goes on an adventure to share all the things she likes with us. The colorful and bright illustrations add life and a vision to this adventure. We loved seeing all the things she loves, some that are the same as us. We loved cooking with mommy, chasing the ice cream truck and cuddling together with Mom and dad. I loved that it opened up discussion with our family and talked about all the things we like, and love. Your family will love this book. Enjoy taking the adventure with Cleo.
