Thank you, NetGalley, Publisher and Author, for providing me with an e-arc copy to review!
I like how the QR codes are used throughout the book so readers or beginners like me can see the drawing tutorials in video format. There was also a practical exercise (guidelines) in the book that made the book more interactive, which I really liked. It was cute and informative.
An excellent resource for the target demographic, but as an adult I also found it very helpful for outfit inspiration, particularly the fantasy and Harajuku-style sections :)
I really like how Misako added extra instructions on how to draw hands and shoes. They can be particularly tricky to get right!
Thank you for the ARC!
My daughter absolutely loved this book. She was able to follow the instructions easily and create some beautiful illustrations. It really captured the anime feel in the book.
Adorable book for children, young adults and adults - for all audiences who are into manga, anime and/or fashion.
It offers step by step instructions, a variety of designs and characters and the use of language is lovely.
I hope there will be more of these books.
This is such a good guide, I found it easy to follow and to create cute kawaii and manga outfits and accessories.
Really love these art books. They have a great amount of info and are easy to understand for a beginner. This one focuses on fashion and its so neat to see how each other comes to life and the different styles.
So cute and genuinely helpful. I wouldn't really consider my own drawing style manga, but it works. I appreciated that there were so many styles included, including punk and Harajuku, and that there was both male and female clothing. Overall, a fun book for aspiring fashion artists of all ages.
