Neurodiverse employees deserve to be appreciated and supported appropriately in their jobs. (As do all employees.) This book is written from the heart, using the author’s personal neurodiverse employment experience, both good and bad. It is a must read for all managers. There are lots of ideas to make you consider how to go about creating structures and a positive environment in the workplace where neurodiverse employees can give their best. I’m a teacher, and I can see so many things that my school managers and Authority managers could learn from this book. Also, although written for life beyond school, it’s given me ideas for use in trying to support pupils in school. Thank you to Cherish Editions and NetGalley for the ARC. The views expressed are all mine, freely given.

This book should be in the hands of every manager or person who has a say in hiring practices. Heck, this book should be in the hands of loved ones of neurodiverse individuals as well.

It's easy to read and understand. It breaks down every aspect not just of the hiring process, but the day to day work as well. It gives real-life examples and offers practical solutions.

The writer brings lived experience and insights with her, and her understanding and appreciation of neurodivergence (the book offers a good explanation if you are confused as to which word to use; neurodiversity or neurodivergence). The book offers a wide range of detailed information, recommendations, advice and strategies about neurodivergence both in the workplace and in every day life.

It opens with definitions related to neurodivergence. The author’s employment of her own experience made this book a better read for me, and I was glad to see a balance between the anecdotal and the specific, sustainable, feasible and more generalised tips.
