Sekaninova introduces younger readers to the Ancient Egyptian world. She takes readers through a "museum" of burial steps and then through Egyptian life. Each aspect is explained in short text blocks that will hold a reader's interest. The entire story is narrated by a mummy cat chasing a sacred scarab beetle that woke up. The cat offers facts about each part of the exhibits and guides readers to the important points. The illustrations are realistic and capture this civilization.
