The prologue of this book stuck its tendrils into me and gripped me so dang tight it hurt so be sure to add this to your TBR ASAP !!

“They’d nearly eaten it all, but there were chunks of hair , long hair, possibly from a woman, and blood everywhere. Buckets of it. It flowed out of the pen like a river of death.”

Detective Tyrone is called in to investigate and we spiral quickly into a web of deceit, violence, drama and infidelity.

As the story goes on we bounce back and forth between past and present and we see into Mollys life leading up to her death .

This is a smart , fast paced read filled with secrets and unlikeable characters, so be sure to have your snacks and bevy ready because you won’t want to miss all the action in this little gruesome gem of a read with an ending that will shock 😳 you !!

You have Molly Sand whose life is spiraling and then Angel Malone an attorney whose own marriage is falling apart. This was a great thriller and while I will not give it away, poor Molly. There are lots of secrets and betrayals and you will want to keep reading to know what will happen next.

I really enjoyed the story. It was a great read and it kept me entertained until the very end. Pick this book up and publication day. You won’t be sorry.

This book grabbed me from the first line.

The dual timeline with multiple character perspectives made it easy to read on and tell myself that I’d read “just one more chapter.” (It was always more than one.)

While there was some predictability, that is to be expected with the abundance of novels in this genre (my favorite to read). However, the many unexpected twists and turns countered the predictable parts to keep me engaged.

Thank you to NetGalley for an advanced copy of this book for my honest review.

A good, quick read with a great plot line. The story is told by the female main characters who are completely different but whose lives are dangerously connected. Ultimately, their paths converge explosively in this highly charged plot!!
Thank you to the publisher for the opportunity to read this advanced copy. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Yes! I love a good, twisty mystery. The prologue of this book instantly sucked me in and kept me guessing nearly to the last page. There was a point where I was questioning Molly's motives and what actually happened but I love the way this book ended. There is no doubt that Mike and Frank are both trash and I think justice was served to each in their own way. Angel is ruthless and I love her. Poor Molly, I can't imagine having to live with Frank and have every detail of my day dictated to me and telling me I'm old, fat and ugly at 26 what an absolute pile of garbage he is.

This is a must read thriller/mystery that was hard to put down once I picked it up!

Thank you NetGalley and Severn River Publishing for access to the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This was a thrilling read. There was such depth to the characters and the story unfolded in a way that you kept thinking something else but the author did a great job of keeping the suspense until the end.
I don’t want to give away spoilers but this was a page turner throughout the entire book.

This is such a hard book to review without spoilers! Infidelity, lies, abuse, secrets, revenge, spiteful ex wives and a small connected town is what you are in for with this fast paced twisted thriller.

The characters and circumstances in this novel are real. Women have to make big decisions regarding the safety of themselves and their children- but to what cost?

For me this is a must read !

Thank you Netgalley and Severn River Publishing for giving me ARC in exchange for my honest review. I loved this book! It was gripping from the start. All of the characters are very well portrayed even though there wasn’t much detailed descriptions characters were attractive enough to keep you guessing throughout the book. And the plot twists oh my goodness they were amazing! I couldn’t guess it even at the end. It was an easy read, you can even read it in one sitting honestly because it hooks you! Definitely recommend for anyone who loves thriller

The beginning feels a tiny bit repetitive but that farther I got into the book the less I wanted to set it down. So many suspects, all with their own motives. Usually I'm not too fond of so many characters but the author did an amazing job at fleshing them out. I also loved that the titular character was not the perfect victim. Her miserable existence was undeserved but I'm tired of saints and Mary Sues, Molly's flaws and mistakes made her feel real.

Many thanks to @severnriverpublishing and @netgalley for my #gifted (free) copy. Pub date 8/5/24.

Sex, lies, murder, and betrayal! A solid domestic thriller with a very satisfying ending. I actually didn't see that ending coming it all!

Molly Sand is trapped in a terrible marriage with no way out until she is found eaten by a local farmers' pig. Molly's husband Frank is the main suspect, but they have very little evidence to go on. Told through multiple POVs in the past and present, we learn the truth about the Sand's marriage, along with all the other characters. If you love a fast-paced thriller with short chapters and lots of drama, this one is definitely for you!

I was sucked in from the prologue! What a great opening! This book truly kept me guessing until the very end. I really enjoyed the multiple POVs as well as the dual timelines. My only negative would be the ending felt very abrupt. Overall a quick and enjoyable read.

Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I was fortunate to have the opportunity to read this ARC, and it pulled me in from the prologue when a body was found mutilated in a pig pen.

The story is told from alternating perspectives, starting with Tyrone Gully, the detective who is looking to make a name for himself in rural Iowa, so he can return to the Chicago PD as a detective. Tyrone is searching for the murderer of Molly Sand, the young, beautiful wife of the town’s mogul Frank Sand. Not only is Frank completely full of himself, he’s also cheating on Molly, who is also his fifth wife. The story includes perspectives from Molly and Frank… and also, Frank’s lawyer, Angel, who he visits to take care of a settlement with his first wife and to begin divorce proceedings with Molly.

This story was full of twists and turns that I did not see coming. It is one of the best thrillers I’ve read in a long time. I would love to read another book featuring Detective Tyrone Gully!

This was a book I would not typically read in a genre I enjoy occasionally. It was a quick crime thriller read, easy to digest, but too far-fetched to feel any genuine connection to any of the characters. Molly was probably my least favorite character. I struggled to feel any sympathy for her. The author highlighted a few good themes, like the effects of youth and manipulation, bullying, and both spousal and child abuse, but the plot was staid and often predictable. I liked how Laura Snider introduced the story and her main character, Molly, in her opening chapters. Despite a somewhat dime-store plot and characters that weren’t developed well enough to like or dislike, I kept reading. By the middle, I was interested, by the end I was hooked. The story flowed, making this a great little beach read I read in a few hours. Tyrone was my favorite character. He added reality and dimension to an otherwise predictable plot. There were a few twists and turns, such as the ones surrounding Nolan’s character, which helped boost this book to a four for me. The husbands were almost laughable, though, and Frank’s tough, no-nonsense lawyer produced a good chuckle or two.
By the end of the story, I knew I would read another by the author. Molly Sand Must Die should be on your list if you are looking for a Lifetime dramedy, a simplistic comedic crime thriller for a quick beach or rainy weekend read. Give the book a chance. You may like the simplicity of Snider’s plot and subplots, which include a lot of interesting backstories about each of her characters. It's a solid three, but I rank it a four because it had me hooked with the opening scenes. Thank you to Net Galley and Severn River Publishing for the free ARC. This review is voluntary.

Rating: 4.5 ⭐️ rounded up!

Molly Sand is married (his 5th wife!) to Frank- a womanizing, abusive husband and has two kids. She has no choice or freedom in her life- Frank controls her money, her body, what she eats and wears, even doctor appointments.. and obviously tracks her movements on via her phones location. She was last seen on February 14th.. until a farmer finds his pigs eating what he believes to be the body of Molly 4 months later.

Vivian is Frank’s first wife - the mother to his only other child Frankie Jr. Post divorce she was awarded part ownership of his businesses that were opened during their marriage. She and Frank have a tumultuous relationship & she’s now decided to take him back to court for more child support just a few months before Frankie Jr turns 18.

Angel is Frank’s attorney. She has represented him through every divorce and is believed to be his main confidant. Her husband Mike is an unhappy, dishonest man who has no one but himself as a priority despite being married to Angel and having two daughters with her. He is also rumored to have had an affair with Molly. Then Mike goes missing too.

Where is Molly and what happened to her during those 4 months? Where is Mike? Did he hurt Molly? Did Frank do it?!

All these questions and more throughout the book as we follow Tyrone Gulley sort through the evidence and details and interview people connected to Molly and Frank. Will he be able to solve the mystery of what truly happened?

This book was an absolute surprise in the best way. I could not put it down and finished it in one sitting. The multiple points of view were done well- giving the reader just enough to want more. I loved it and will absolutely be recommending to any suspense/thriller story lovers when it comes out on 8/10/24!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this arc in exchange for my honest review!

Two amazing characters really come to life in the hands of this talented author. Be prepared for some dark themes and some confronting images, which are sometimes pretty graphic. This is a thriller which offers a fast paced plot and an intense way of describing events. I loved it.

Molly Sand Must Die is a quick paced crime/thriller book. It keeps you guessing from the very beginning.

Molly is stuck in an abusive controlling marriage, and fears there is no way out. Frank is her controlling husband, who has multiple businesses and needs to control every aspect of her life.
Angel is Franks lawyer who is also stuck in a loveless marriage. How do Molly and Angel get out of their respective marriages alive?

I enjoyed the 'past' and 'present' chapters, really filling you in on every detail in the lead up to Molly's death. There are a few unlikeable characters who were written about perfectly. It was easy to keep up with who was who throughout.

Although the ending was a little predictable it was a really enjoyable read. I feel like the Author has left a little opening for more books with these characters.

"Molly Sand Must Die" is more than just a thriller; it is a thought-provoking exploration of themes such as justice, revenge, and the impact of trauma. Snider's skillful storytelling ensures that readers are not only entertained but also left contemplating the moral questions posed by the novel long after they have turned the last page.

Investigate alongside detective Tyrone as he works to solve the ensuing case of the missing person. What a wonderful book! The short, interesting chapters that switched between the current and previous characters had me completely engrossed, and at the end of each one, I couldn't wait to read more. Because it was such an easy read, I still liked seeing the story come to fruition even after my suspicions about it were confirmed! This was an easy 4 star read!

3.75 stars

*Molly Sand Must Die* gripped me from the start. It's the kind of "popcorn thriller" that’s perfect for a weekend escape—a book you can devour in one or two sittings.

One of the aspects I really enjoyed was the alternating timeline and multiple perspectives. This narrative structure added layers to the story, creating a sense of mystery and suspense as the plot unfolded. It also allowed for a deeper exploration of the events leading up to the climax.

I struggled a bit with the believability of the age of Angel (35) having supposedly having served as an attorney on a divorce that happened 15 years ago. Unfortunately that timeline became distracting as I found myself having to flip back and double check all the facts to see if I was misunderstanding something.

That small inconsistency aside, if you're looking for a page-turning story that doesn’t demand too much heavy thinking but still delivers on excitement, *Molly Sand Must Die* is a solid choice.

I would like to thank NetGalley, Severn River Publishing, and the author for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Severn River Publishing for giving me the opportunity to read an ARC of Molly Sand Must Die.

This is the first book from Laura Snider that I’ve read, and if you’re looking for something that hooks you in quickly, is an easy read that you can finish in a sitting and has twists and turns then this is for you!

I enjoyed it, even though Molly is a bit of a wet blanket - it was hard to warm to her character but I think given what she goes through it’s understandable. There probably could have been trigger warnings at the beginning, as there are portrayals of domestic violence but they aren’t extensive and the story moves on quickly.

I really appreciated the lack of “fluff” - where authors seem to just try and fill pages with unnecessary information to pad out a chapter. This book moved at a fast but not frantic pace, and it was cleverly done. A couple of the twists are pretty obvious early on, but all in all I recommend this as an easy read whether you’re just dipping your toes into the thriller genre, or looking for a palate cleanser between longer books.

This book will get your attention from the very prologue. This author does know how to start a book!
.
A murder needs to be solved and here is the list of the characters involved in the life of the deceased (Molly) :
- Frank (Molly's husband)
- Vivian (first wife of Frank)
- Frank JR (son of Frank and Vivian)
- Angel (lawyer of Frank)
- Mike (angels husband)
- Logan (Molly's Friend)
- Tyrone (detective)
.
*Let me explain a bit how the characters are connected:
So Molly's is Frank's fifth wife and has two children with him. Frank is basically an asshole and abuser. Molly's friend Logan helps her with taking care of her kids when Molly goes to the gym (Frank is the owner). Angel is Frank lawyer who is in charge to handle his divorce Case with Vivian. Ironically she also isn't leading a happy marriage life. Which brings us to Mike who is basically good for nothing, no job and lives of Angel's money but he also complains that she is a work alcoholic and gives him no attention. They have two children (Twins). Mike started to go to the Frank's Gym and scheduled his timing same as Molly's. Tyrone is the detective who is im charge to solve the murder mystery.
*
Molly is death: How, who, what, why. You can find all the answers in one sitting. For this book is written in a multiply pov which brings you to the past pov of Molly to make you see and understand why "MOLLY SAND MUST
DIE".
.
I literally devoured this book and that ending was the best ever. Really cunning.
.

Thank you so much netgalley and Severn River Publishing.
