I love this book! It was a fun and informative read! I highly recommend others to read this book when working with elemental energies. The author broke it down for each element and made it fun to read in the process. I voluntarily read this book via NetGalley in exchange for my honest opinion.
This is a rarity, a book on working with elementals that doesn't go all airy-fairy or impose the author's personal beliefs onto the reader.
It's written from the point of view of an Animist; someone who sees the life force in all natural things from animals to plants to stones and even in air currents, not to mention flames!
The book covers traditional folklore as well as modern perceptions of what nature spirits are and how to go about communing with these spirits and inviting them into your magic, whether it's folk magic or formal ritual.
Example spells are given, but she also encourages the reader to formulate their own rituals and explains how to go about that.
Overall an excellent book that covers a lot of territory and offers great ideas for how to tap into your own creative spirit to align yourself with the natural energies around you.
Easy to read and chocked full of useful information, this book is perfect for both experienced magick practioners and those who are new. I loved how well researched this book was and how useful it is; a must have for a witch bookshelf.

The magical exercises designed to enhance your perception of these spirits were particularly insightful, allowing me to connect with the elemental energies in new and meaningful ways.

I love spiritual books that actually feel helpful and not pretentious. It almost feels like you’re just having a conversation with a like mind person. That’s how I felt. I really liked how this was written, and I will definitely be coming back to this book time and time during my own practices.
