This is the best resource on the market for language learning. I learned Spanish as a child but now that I am in my 40s and would like to travel more, so I am learning the romance languages. I am a software architect by trade so I often learn new programming languages by comparing them to ones that I am currently fluent in. I actually came up with the idea to start learning the romance languages together because the concepts are very similar, so I was thrilled to find this product on the market. In my opinion, this saves a ton of time than to sequentially try to learn them because you touch all 4 languages every day, versus only focusing on one language a day and then forgetting about the other 3 for months at a time. The key to language learning is repetition. It seems to be a popular trend in language learning today to ignore grammar, but I think this is a fallacy. If you don't start with the basics and understand how words are constructed and how they sound, then how can you ever expect to think on your feet and formulate a sentence. The way this program works is to quickly teach / reinforce the fundamentals and then you are off to the running for more advanced concepts. I think this product is truly amazing and although you will find that while it is intimidating, it is actually much more time effective to learn multiple languages at once than to learn just one language at a time.

This book could be very helpful for learning different languages. It is kind of long but, it has the grammar you would need to learn Spanish, Portuguese, French, or Italian. I would recommend this book to anyone learning one of these languages.

As someone with some academic level of training as well as a high level of personal interest in and love for the Romance languages, I am very happy with the explanations and coverage in this book. Tips such as similarities with English is a section that I do not frequently come across in language training books. In terms of the emphasis on the grammar, which I value, this is 4.5 stars. The presentation could have been more engaging though.
I did not sign up to the website mentioned in the beginning of the book and nor watched the YouTube videos. They might be good complimentary materials indeed but, I took value out of this book without going through those steps. I will keep repeating the tips and information in this book to practice these languages. I am a rookie when it comes to Portuguese, and I was glad to come across this title that allows for comparative and connective learning with the other Romance languages. It is handy for those who speak at least one of the languages covered in this book, but it is also good for those who are just starting out in one of these languages. I would say best suited for intermediate level learning to advanced speaking/fluency. Yet there are certainly many aspects that are applicable to the very beginners.

Great resource for someone like me who is trying to immerse myself more in learning another language. I can’t wait to see how much this helps in my journey. It’s also good that it has 3 other languages if you want to learn those as well.

I've learned both French and Spanish as foreign languages, and I certainly see the logic in studying the Latin languages together. I also find this book to be very comprehensive and it's easy to look up grammar and basic vocabulary. But herein is the problem, as I prefer a much more practical approach to learning, with everyday language and examples. As for the software, it's too complicated with too many options.
