Marketing Plan

Online: Social Currency Strategy

1. Seekers book trailer:

Seekers book trailer will be used in most marketing material, including all emails to over 2500+ youth pastors across the U.S., as well as on website, www.readseekers.com.

2. Twitter and Facebook

I am personal friends with Selena Gomez’s grandparents. I am asking Selena to endorse Seekers on her Twitter account (17.2 million followers) and her FaceBook, (20 million followers) and possible endorsement on the actual book itself. She is best friends with Taylor Swift and I am going to see if she will ask Taylor to promote on FB and Twitter as well, (37 million followers). And possibly Justin Beiber, twitter, (47 million followers). Selena and Justin still keep in touch. I will be happy with just Selena.

I am also going give people a major reason to register to win a free gift, (something cool) if they buy the book from a bookstore by a certain date. Also going to offer another free gift if they register on my site, for those who give valuable input for the next novel, and the winner will get their name as a new character, in the next novel.

4. Dealey Media - Hired Internet Marketing Company, Dealey Media, to laser target my ideal client for only a penny an ad. Advertising online is and always will be one of the MOST VALUABLE business tools to achieve greater brand visibility and business growth. I believe that while traditional venues are still viable, online strategy is so much more cost effective and valuable. It is essential that I find ways to reach the audience where they spend their time - - ONLINE!

5. Advisory Council Mastermind Group – I was a part of this CEO council for 11 years and have the email addresses of all these CEO’s and Presidents. I am going to start contacting them to help me promote the book. Have access to all the emails of past and present members. Companies range between $2,000,000 and $250,000,000 in revenues.

6. Member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority – working on getting approval for emailing to all my Pi Phi sorority sisters across the United States, around 140,000 members. Will send them emails promoting Seekers and asking them to support me and buy the book. I already have their email addresses but would like the master list. They also have a book club.

7. KD College Prep – Plano/Dallas, Texas - Working with David Dillard, owner, (personal friend) to promote Seekers via his email lists of all high school students past and present to email Seekers advertisement to buy book. Around 100,000+ emails. All high school and college students. He will also allow me to promote Seekers inside his multiple college prep schools, with posters and fliers.

8. University of Arizona - Setting up meeting with the University of Arizona, (the actual setting of my book) to meet with school officials and ask them to help promote book via emails, posters around the campus, to solicit all the fraternities and sororities and incent them to promote the book, and possible speaking engagements. Will also set up meetings with local chamber, newspaper etc., in Tucson area.

9. Local Churches – Set up meetings with several very large Dallas churches I have relationship with to get them behind the promotion of Seekers. Hoping to have an online strategy. I also plan to speak at many of their youth services. Am contacting T.D. Jakes/Potters House, Robert Morris/ Gateway Church, Mike Hayes/Covenant Church, Jack Graham/Prestonwood Baptist Church, Dr. Robert Jeffress/ First Baptist, Dr. Fredrick Haynes lll/ Friendship-West Baptist Church, Dr. Tony Evans/Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship, Rev. 10. YMSL – I am a past local president and board member of the Young Men’s Service league which operates in 7 states and growing. (Texas, Nevada, California, Illinois, Florida, Georgia, and Virginia is starting soon) This is a 9th – 12th grade young men’s, mother/son volunteer organization. I know the founder very well and plan on utilizing their services to help promote Seekers. They are required to read one book and I am going to try and promote Seekers for that read. Total readers should be around 2,000+ boys.

11. Local News – have a plan to contact local news affiliates to help in promoting a new local author. Have a couple of contacts here. Will also call Dallas Morning Newspaper to try and get support online etc., personal friends with the man whose family once owned this newspaper.

12. Arbonne Cosmetics – Have a meeting planned to discuss affiliate marketing with distributors on their websites.

13. Local Dallas Corporations - Soliciting businesses to give toward providing free books to youth in need programs. Hope to raise at least $100,000. I used to on my own company for eleven years and plan on contacting all my old clients.

14. Christian online companies that email daily: Will be contacting several Christian companies that have a huge following online with their daily emails. A few are as follows: Outreach Magazine, Sermon Central, Church Leaders, Start Church and several more.

15. You Tube Channel – will have a channel and am going to start teaching about the supernatural, spiritual gifts, and personality info on how to discover your destiny on this channel.

16. Social Media Expert - I do a daily email called, “Love Lessons from Liz” to about 300 followers. I am talking to Britt McCrary at Get Noticed Socially, about helping me with all my social media including possibly using my blog, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Vine, LinkedIn, etc.

17. Netgalley.com – Will use this service so reviewers and others can review Seekers.

19. Glen Beck TV online – contacting Glen to help promote Seekers. Have a great contact for this. Met Glen last year so I think he will remember me as well.

1. We plan on contacting several magazines, both regular and online. Relevant Magazine, Christianity Today, Christian Woman Online, Called Magazine, Just Between Us, Charisma, Kyria.com, World Magazine, Guideposts, etc. We will send out postcards to youth pastors. We will hang posters in local Dallas businesses.


Television:

1. TV Daystar – Best friend is lead worship leader for Daystar. Putting me in touch with Marcus and Joni to interview for their TV show. Daystar was a client of mine for about 3 years as well. I know a lot of people there in leadership positions. Their viewership is all over the world. Daystar launched on the satellite over Europe called Intelsat 20 which reaches 50 million homes. Daystar launched as the only Christian Television Network on Spice Digital Africa to 100 million audio phone users. Daystar launched as the only Christian Television Network on MTN mobile phone service in Nigeria & Ghana to 54 million video phone users. Daystar launched on NuTV in Haiti. Daystar launched nationally on Mediacom Cable in America. Daystar Canada (formerly Grace TV) became the largest Christian television Network in Canada, reaching two thirds of the homes in Canada.

2. TBN – Trinity Broadcasting Network – plan on being interviewed on TBN as well. Have lots of connections in the Christian TV sector.

Friends - I also have about 150 friends and some college youth that have committed to help me promote with their email lists and social media platforms, sending out the book trailer with a note from them to buy the book, etc. One has about 21,000 names on her list and the other has around 3 million names, but it is a business site, so not sure how we can position it. Maybe a book giveaway and charge for shipping to make up for the costs. Five of my friends are authors and are going to help market my book to their audience. One has written books for network marketing and I am talking to him about getting into that audience.

37. Top 50 Influencers in Dallas – I am going to call and set appointments with whom I deem the top 50 Influencers in Dallas– those who have made a difference in our city and are passionate about helping our youth.

38. Pastors – Have a pastor friend that knows John Maxwell, I am going to ask him for an introduction, would like him to sponsor, but if not, at least give me a few marketing strategies.

I have many more contacts, but I think this gives you a good picture of my promotional strategy. Marketing was my college major and I have been in sales my whole life. Not afraid to call anyone. I plan on setting as many TV appearances, radio interviews, and speaking engagements as possible.



I have several more good ideas to market my book to help build a following for the next book. I am going to offer a strategy for people to go online and register to win something when they fill out their email address. Might even enclose it inside the book.

I own a company called PowerTalk Productions and plan on speaking into the lives of youth after the launch of my book. This will give me a platform to build on for the sequels. I have already developed the material to send out for speaking engagements. The material will help young adults find their purpose, spiritual gifts, and what they were born to do.

I am also going after the secular market and have a few connections there, i.e., Ellen show and several others. If God opens that door, I am going through it as I feel that the Lord is going to use Seekers to reach the unbelieving by showing them the supernatural.
