Description

Nash Montgomery never expected to find himself on the path to country music stardom. Once a high school prankster with no clear direction, a twist of fate turned his life around and led him to the stage. But even as he finds success on the road, there’s a lingering emptiness, a feeling that something—or someone—is missing.

Cassidy Stanton knows all about expectations. Raised to think success was the only option, she fought to carve out her own path in the media world, leaving behind the quiet life of her small town. But despite her rising career in Los Angeles, the weight of her past and the memory of a boy she never truly knew still tugs at her heart.

When a chance reunion brings Nash and Cassidy back into each other’s lives, neither can shake the feeling that they’ve met before, but they have no idea just how deep their connection goes. As old memories resurface and new passions ignite, they find themselves drawn to one another in ways they never anticipated.

As Nash’s career pulls him back on tour and Cassidy’s life is firmly rooted in L.A., they must navigate the challenges of long-distance love, career pressures, and the secrets of their past. Can they reconcile their dreams with their hearts, or will the obstacles between them prove too great?

"Wrapped Up in You" is a heartfelt, emotionally charged story of love, music, and the sacrifices we make for those who hold our hearts. In the end, it’s about finding your way back to the one who feels like home—even if it means taking the long way around.

I did not read Book 1, but I still liked this story. It was emotional but also a feel-good tale. I think Carr did a great job crafting the characters. The music theme was spot on. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

I love how the writing is lush and immersive, capturing the bittersweet tension of long-distance love and the pull of unresolved feelings. The romance is both heartfelt and intense, with a narrative that explores the sacrifices we make for love and the journey to finding where we truly belong. It’s a compelling read for anyone who appreciates emotional depth and a soulful connection.

Thanks @netgalley for the ARC of this book. It was such a cute novel that spans time. It's dual POV from Nash and Cassidy who share a love of music. Initially, they meet online through a website just sharing music and dreams but no names. Finally, they meet in person years later on a reality music TV competition show. Do their feelings still grow?

Why did I have tears? It's not a sad book. It's just that good. Cassidy and Nash have a love story for the ages. I mean...they just do. They grow together and realize that what they have is real.

I loved this story and the meaning. That true love can span distance and time.

Nash finds himself having to teach music in summer school having been caught playing a prank in high school. A baseball player he soon realizes his passion is his guitar and music.
Cassidy is done with doing show after show to keep her mother happy and wants to find her own dream.
When these two meet online a friendship develops based on raw honesty about their lives and others expectations of them.
This is a heartwarming and tender story spanning three or four years of a friendship until the site closes down and they loose all contact, only knowing the nickname they gave each other.
A refreshing sweet, closed door romance, extremely well written with beautiful characters that make your heart swell and the ending was everything you'd want it to be.
I'll definitely read the other book in this series
