Such a good book!

This was an incredible story and a lovely conclusion to The Duchess Society series. It delivers everything that a second chance book requires, and Jasper and Cece were an absolute delight to read about. As Tracy’s writing always is, this story was deeply emotional, and I just couldn’t put the book down.

Jasper and Cece’s story is marked by regret, pain, and longing. Despite the good that happened after the separation, the recollections of their time apart heartbreakingly revealed that their life experiences felt utterly wrong and almost inauthentic without each other. Their shared past was just so triggering for both of them, and to rectify it required close examination and validation of their greatest loss–each other.

As a result, both characters struggled with the acceptance of their past and present circumstances, which added so much depth to their story. However, the years apart failed to erase the familiarity and attraction from Jasper and Cece’s past, making their present dynamic feel both special and raw. Additionally, despite their angry and hurt feelings, their conversations couldn’t help but be genuine and honest, often resembling real-life arguments with loved ones.

Ultimately, Jasper and Cece’s interactions and innate understanding of one another felt incredibly sweet and romantic, which made their eventual happily ever after feel especially rewarding. The poignance of their story was moving, and I think people who love the second chance trope would enjoy this book.

Aside from the romance, I also enjoyed the updates of the Leighton Cluster. It projected a feeling of finality that made this a satisfactory ending to the series.

There are a lot of references to characters and events from the previous books, so I would recommend reading this as part of the series and not as a standalone.

This Is the Best One!

This whole series has been so very enjoyable. Each story was better than the previous one, grabbing my attention and making sure that I didn't put it down.

In this one, Jasper and Cece play a cat and mouse game in their exciting and very hot second chance story.

I really enoyed the way Jasper handled things and Cece was just as cunning and devious as he could be and this was what made their story so entertaining.

I am sorry that this series has come to an end and look forward to the next one from this very talented author.
