This book builds on his Netflix show and the podcast “I Will Teach You to Be Rich,” focusing on straightforward principles that simplify and make managing finances more accessible.
Having listened to most of his podcast episodes, I found this book to be a perfect complement to his existing content. Sethi’s approach is practical and includes scripts to help navigate what can often be uncomfortable conversations about money. I particularly appreciate how he emphasizes that the strategies he suggests may work well for him but might not be suitable for everyone. He acknowledges that we all have different dreams and financial situations, which he considers thoughtfully throughout the book.
I've followed Ramit for a while and find his money advice simple and helpful. This audiobook was an easy listen that summarized a lot of what he talks about frequently on his podcast.
Money for Couples is a great step by step guide on how to have straightforward dialogue about money that can be both practical and inspirational. I read the book and also listened to the audiobook. The narration by Ramit himself adds just the right touch of humor and I found myself laughing out loud several times at his no nonsense descriptions and approach. I would recommend both the book and audio. There's a lot to unpack and having both formats would be a benefit. I appreciated him pointing out that everyone has their own path and you can have money discussions where both people can speak and be heard in non-judgemental ways. Thank you NetGalley for the chance to listen and read this book.
