A Note From the Publisher
Advance Praise
"It's a fun story for kids, but it is also educational, teaching them a few life lessons along the way. Most importantly, it teaches them that determination is key to winning the day. It's about friends pulling together and showing that size doesn't matter – sometimes the smallest can be the strongest." Anne-Marie Reynolds of Readers' Favorite

A fun and colorful children’s book about the importance of teamwork and perseverance when a challenge arises. I read this to my preemie daughter currently in the NICU and loved the message that sometimes the smallest one is the mightiest
A story that goes to show that sometimes the smallest creature has the biggest advantage! Being a shrimp doesn't mean you cannot save the day! The book is written by a dardiologist, with a good heart, and this book will elevate your spirit and keep your heart healthy, due to having a good and optimistic attitude. A fine children's tale.
I was given a free copy of this from NetGalley for my honest review.
This is such a cute little book. The illustrations were also a beautiful sight. The colors and how vibrant it was was just amazing. I loved the little story. They were trying to find their lost friend and they all took turns trying to help their friend out of this cage and they just could not do it. There is teamwork involved just finding this friend who they can't find. But one little hero comes to their rescue. Proving that size and strength doesn't always matter. Their smallest friend Sherri the Shrimp helped with the rescue.
This book has the loveliest, bright and colorful illustrations of undersea life, featuring color reefs, octopus and tropical fish. A re-telling of Aesop's The Lion amd the Mouse, this book has a classic message. Kudos to the illustrationsmost of all - they are eye candy.
This is just the sweetest story about ocean animals coming to the rescue of their friend that was trapped. And even though they all had special abilities it would take a certain one to be able to free their friend and it was Sherri who was able to free them. I think this story is meant to teach that size doesn't matter and that we all have something to contribute. The illustrations are fun, and I love that the story contained larger words in it that will help the child that is reading expand their vocabulary.
The character name alliteration was adorable! My daughter and I loved "Larry the Lobster" and "Farah the Flounder!" The ocean illustrations were also gorgeous. This was a cute story of teamwork, and triumph for the smallest character prevailing. It did seem a little quick, a lot was packed into 13 pages, but it was very cute.
I loved reading this book to my son! In this book, an octopus goes missing and his friends work hard to find and save him from the predicament he is in. The story is unique and the illustrations are bright and fun. My son was engaged through the whole story. I would absolutely recommend this book!
Thank you to net gallery and the publisher for this arc copy. This was such a quick read but my children absolutely loved this book and I will definitely be buying a copy of the book. The illustrations in this book were so so beautiful and the meaning behind the story was such a great meaning about how friends can work together and can help people out. I just wish this book was a bit longer so we could have more time with the characters in this wonderful book. The author did a lovely job on this book. Xxx
Such a sweet book! I think even little ones who can't read by themselves yet would enjoy this! It send a wonderful message that no matter how small you are, you can do big things.
Overall, this story is cute. The friendship of the underwater sea creatures is a great example for kids - and how they all came to the rescue of one of their friends by working together and finding the creature with the right talent to meet the need. The illustrations are gorgeous - I loved the watercolor nature of the designs to match the theme of an underwater/sea creature story. There are some illustrations that are more simplistic in nature - not adding a ton of additional detail to the story, but overall they at least support the part of the story that is on the respective page.
There were a few things with this one that I struggled with when thinking about what works in children's books for my kids. There were a few areas of inconsistency. First, on the second page of the story, there is a misspelling of Farrah/Farah in the text as compared to the illustration. As I was reading through the story, there were multiple times that I got hung up on the rhyming/pacing - there were places that seemed to have quite a bit of rhyming and other sections that didn't rhyme at all and I could never get into a consistent cadence/pace when reading. Additionally, there are borderline too many words on some of the pages. For kids with shorter attention spans, the illustrations might not provide enough engagement to keep them tuned in to the story on each page.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the eARC of this book.
