Description
Uncover the Extraordinary Adventure of the Lamb Gang: Join their Mission to Save our Planet!
When a mysterious MONSTER washes up on the shores of LOCH NESS in Scotland, the intrepid LAMB GANG jump into action on their first adventure. BOING! BOING! BOING!
The poorly monster is barely breathing, when a curious Clover realises there’s something stuck in its throat. With the kiss of life out of the question (YUCK!), the Lamb Gang hatches an ingenious plan to save the monster before it’s too late.
NESSIE – for that is who it is – is saved. HURRAY! The famous Loch Ness monster then teaches her heroic friends about the harm caused to animals by PLASTIC POLLUTION and LITTER in our waters. And so, the Lamb Gang decide there’s only one way forward – by inviting children to clean up our VERY IMPORTANT PLANET and make it like new.
Children aged 4–8 will be delighted by the humorous illustrations and accessible, dyslexia-friendly text of this early reader chapter book in RHYME, which teaches the importance of the ENVIRONMENT and CONSERVATION.
“IF WE LOOK AFTER OUR PLANET, OUR PLANET WILL LOOK AFTER US.”
Experience the same sense of adventure as in Julia Donaldson’s books, such as The Detective Dog, with this curious and clever gang of lambs on their first mission.
The first in a series of 3 delightful environmental and conservation stories for children. Don’t miss out on this adventure and important message of The Lamb Gang save the Loch Ness monster.
Endorsement: I think the book looks great. It's dyslexia friendly (font, size, layout, unjustified righthand margin, images and line spaces) and will support dyslexic and reluctant readers.' Advance Praise
A heartfelt picture book highlighting the importance of picking up litter and helping the environment.
The Lamb Gang Save the Loch Ness Monster is a rhyming tale that’s perfect for reading out loud, especially for any parents that excel at doing accents. On the shore of Loch Ness is a herd of sheep, and the Loch Ness Monster Nessie loves to watch over their lambs each year. But this year the litter on the loch leads to Nessie choking and the Lamb Gang need to save her.
There’s repetition at the start of each day and throughout for younger readers to pick up and join in with while we meet Clover and her twin brother Cloud and read along as they make friends and form the Lamb Gang before discovering a monster in need of help. The story encourages readers to have empathy for the world around them and to look after the environment in order to protect the animals and wildlife. The monochromatic illustrations are lovely and help to bring the story to life. There’s a glossary at the back for the Scottish slang used throughout as well as links to further information about the people and businesses that are working to help save the planet from plastic litter and pollution. A short and engaging, illustrated chapter book that would be great for introducing the topic of litter and the environment, Och-aye-the-noo!' Lovereading4Kids

I think this is a great story with an important message. Using fantastic illustrations and rhymes, they make the importance of picking up after yourself accessible for kiddos.
I gave it four stars because what happens to the loch ness monster is a little graphic for kids. Also, I found myself kind of skimming the lamb parts because I wanted to get back to the loch ness.
The Lamb Gang Save the Loch Ness Monster is not only a sort of silly story with cute illustrations of lambs and Nessie, it also shares a message of keeping the environment clean and doing your part to help the world. I liked that it included information at the end about how to be a helper. This would be a good book for early elementary aged kids.
Thanks to BooksGoSocial and NetGalley for an egalley of this book for an honest review.
This was an adorably sweet story about sheep saving the Loch Ness monster from litter the humans carelessly deposit in their environment.
The formatting and illustrations made it a breeze to read through, and this would be a really fun book to look forward to reading with kiddos chapter by chapter (or Bhhhaaahhh by Bhhhaaahhh.).
My favorite was the illustration at the end of the lamb gang holding the "litter pickers wanted" sign. A sweet approach to a poignant conversation.
Not Being a Litterbug
The Lamb Gang is all about spreading the word to save our planet. Animals were even written with cute little accents. The International Litter Pickers Wanted was so perfect-it’s a lifestyle. Such a wonderful impression to make on young minds to not litter and be proactive when they see any to pick up.

A really fun read and the illustrations were really great.
It will be a lot of fun for kids to experience this story.
I thought this was so adorable!! First of all, the illustrations are so cute and I love how everything was spaced out. The characters are adorable, but what really made this book stand out was that it emphasized the importance of keeping the planet clean. This message was delivered in such a cute, fun way throughout the book and I think many children could easily understand it, while appreciating the entertaining animal characters and their dialogue! We definitely need more books like this in the world!
